SillIt's been driving me nuts. I sorta know how a normal hydraulic system works. You get a pump, use it to impart a force on a fluid, and using the fluid incompressibility, you transmit force to all portions that are in contact with the fluid. You use solenoids to control fluid flow, and you use pistons to move it linearly. That's how you get gigantic machines with gripping claws and moving arms.
But how does it spin? I can visualize how it moves back and forth, but how do you get the base of the machine to rotate?
Also, how does the work of the motor relate to the pressure in the system. Is it constantly pressurized, I.e. the pump is always working, creating a constant pressure? Or does it work only when the machine is activated?

Hi everyone,
I recently inherited an iPhone from my late grandfather, which he mentioned in his will. Interestingly, this is a phone that was lost a few years ago, and I was the one who iCloud-locked it back then. It seems he ended up finding it later.
The issue is that it’s still iCloud-locked, and I no longer remember any of the passwords associated with the account. I believe it’s running iOS 17. Are there any methods to unlock it in this situation?

 | As I suspected, my kids love this light fluffy bread. I knew they would, so I doubled the recipe. It’s too sweet for me, and I prefer a more substantial bread, myself, but I’m under orders from my kids to bake this more often so I guess I have to. I’ll bake heartier breads for me. I made a few modifications: water instead of milk for my dairy allergy; baking soda and cream of tartar instead of baking powder for my corn allergy, and konjac/glucomannan instead of xanthan gum. I have a few questions as someone who has never used Faible (coming from AI dungeon) so I'm not at all familiar with the community and capabilties of the AI so figured I'd make a post for them.
- Will there ever be a discord community? (not a FB user at all and hardly on reddit)
- When you get to choice 20 and choose to hit "infinite story" there is a warning about how the AI will only remember the previous 20 choices.. is this like a definitive only the last 20 or is it more a case of it'll remember the past 20 perfectly but may recall some information from before that?
- If you're in the first three to complete all 6 hidden challenges it says you'll receive the golden trading card OR if you completed at least 1 you'll receive just the normal one, where are these displayed and is there any benefit besides "look at me!" to collect these?
- I noticed pretty quickly there's only a limited amount of times you can actually play a story (1 per character + 1 custom) do you have any plans to potentially expand that to at the very least, unlimited custom characters? The SAO MMORPG type adventure was extremely enjoyable, it was pretty upsetting when I ran out of characters not wanting to pass 20 choices as losing even my starting class for example would've ruined the story.
- Are there any plans to add a "re-roll echoes" feature? I find myself sometimes skipping echoes because they either seem really out of place, or just a way to finish your adventure. I'd like to be able roll again and explore other options
- At the end there is an option to private your story and echoes; however, I don't see an option to even look at other people's stories - I understand this is a beta but I just wanted clarification on if this was an upcoming feature or if it's purely to hide your echoes from others.
- Will there potentially be an option to re-roll your own echoes at the end? Like if something amazing happened or you for example created a weapon and would like it in an echo but the AI didn't think it was important enough, could there be an option to re-roll those as well?

Hi everyone! I’m a recent graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I took a class on Coursera called GIS for Sustainability, but didn’t learn as much as I’d hoped about how to create my own maps/datasets on GIS. I now have a certificate from this class and I have a couple of questions:
- How useful is this certificate in my job search? If I put it on my resume will it increase my chances of interviews at all?
- If the jobs I’m looking for are not necessarily GIS dependent, but they may use GIS sometimes, how much should I know?
- If I want to start building my portfolio,how extensive should my projects be?
