Haven't seen much on it here, but ATM the thing should essentially give her:
- An instant ult after first skill
- A 2 turn ult rotation if you get all 60 stacks before ulting again
- A pseudo E6 effect (60% C.DMG to everyone) which is 12 more CV than her sig. Technically 16 if we count the C.DMG buff it gives the wearer.
- Maybe another turn in wind set with certain speed tuning.

2025.01.21 02:15 DBWaffles Straight Swords vs Katana for sword-and-board build?
I'm going to play a new co-op playthrough with a friend pretty soon, and I've decided that I want to play a sword-and-board character. I will be using either a straight sword or katana. I have no preference between these two; I like them both equally and would rather choose whichever will be stronger.
That said, I'm having a hard time seeing any reason why I shouldn't use a katana. Unless you want to use a unique Ash of War, is there any reason to use a straight sword here?
Katanas have better reach, innate bleed, and roughly comparable damage and speed. When comparing the infusible swords, they have access to most of the same AoWs. And even though many straight swords have poke heavy attack, so do katanas when wielded one-handed.
Am I missing anything here? I feel like I have to be because I never actually see anyone run a sword-and-board setup with a katana, but I see plenty of them with straight swords. Can someone please enlighten me?

I’m curious how much sleep everyone here needs to feel rested?
I have always needed a lot of sleep since I was little- about 10 hours. As I’ve gotten older and more of my peers have grown out of it, I feel very silly for being an adult but still being so much more tired than everyone else if I do the standard 7-8 hours.
I started levo about 5 months ago and it’s definitely helped but I’m looking for some comparison with other adults to see if I’m just overthinking it and need to learn to be more gracious with having a autoimmune disease.

I'm an amateur anime artist, with thick and prominent lineart and cell shading. My work isn't the best, but it's mediocre. I've been at this wall for the last 4-ish years where I am not improving overall, just getting a drawing I like the outcome of every 5-ush drawings. I think my main issue is I don't do any backgrounds or put my characters in environments...I am average at backgrounds, however, that only applies to my irl paintings. And having a cel shaded anime girl on a realistic painted background just never looks right, it always look like a cartoon sticker placed on a picture lol.
I am really struggling with meshing the 2 together in a way that works well- any advice? Should I tone back the lineart? I've been aimlessly practicing but I just don't know what exactly I should be practicing if that makes sense...

i'm an incoming freshman and have an SAI of just over 10k, but my mom (only parent) is refusing to give me any financial aid. i read that people are not considered by the DOE/FAFSA to be independent until 24, so am i essentially relying solely on loans until then? i plan on cutting her off as soon as i get in college for a multitude of reasons, is that an extenuating circumstance or am i still screwed?
also just because i've had a lot of anxiety over this, how much money does a person realistically spend outside of tuition/room+board/food in college? how much are books usually?

all of that completely misses the point. it doesn't matter how they do it. what matters is what it does, especially when compared with much larger proprietary models costing much more to build and train.
- they did it with less than $450
- they did it in 19 hours
- they did it with only 8 h100s
- it outperforms o1 preview on math500
- it outperforms o1 preview on aime and livebench
- it's the first truly open source reasoning model in the sense that it can be replicated from scratch
- it runs on consumer hardware with a gpu (24GB+)
- it's only 32 billion parameters
deepseek just amazed the world with their open source v3 and r1 models. the rate of progress in ais, and especially in open source models, is accelerating rapidly. don't be surprised if within the next 3 months an open source model is released that matches o3. and if they do it by JUST fine-tuning, don't let that distract you from what they've done.

The UniMelb website implies that reaching 80 Excellence credits will basically grant you a 99 ATAR, how accurate is that type of conversion and will it guarantee you a scholarship in UniMelb? (as some scholarships simply ask for an ATAR of 99.95.) Thank you!
