2025.01.21 03:20 FlyingGazelles [selling] 525 set of Sennelier soft pastels

I inherited a lot of art supplies from my mother. When COVID hit, she got in the very early days and her motor function dropped significantly as a result.
We have always done art things together since I was a kid, so she gave a bunch of things to me when that happened. Some of it I am keeping, but there are a few things that I won't be able to make good use of, like these pastels. I would love to find a good home for some of the nicer pieces.
I did take the pictures outside, but the pastels are stored in an indoor, dry, regular temperature environment (~68 degrees).
This is a full 525 piece set of Sennelier soft pastels. To my understanding, it is all the colors the company ever made.
Will ship via UPS pack-and-ship to anywhere in the US. I am only -30 minutes from Austin, TX, so happy to drive them somewhere as well, if you aren't too far.
Looks like a brand new one is about $1500, so I'd like to sell for around $750 + shipping OBO. Shipping is estimated to be less than $200 for most places, though it will depend on where you are located and we can get an exact estimate when we reach that point. Also included the pastel paper as well, and the original booklet, unless you don't want them for whatever reason.
I am happy to answer any questions, get them out for a video chat, etc.
Thank you for your time!

2025.01.21 03:20 theOriginalBlueNinja Main guns?

Did the Galactic a have a main gun in the 2003 version?
I remember original having one even though I don’t think you ever saw it…but I don’t remember 2003 version having one
A poster on another forum said the 2003 bSG‘s guns were poorly placed and the main gun had a poor firing arc because of its position
I disagree because the antiaircraft cloud of fire was pretty omnidirectional but I don’t remember anything about a main gun.

2025.01.21 03:20 Super_Ad_1669 EV charger installation - Ontario

Hi,
I am doing some research on installing a level 2 charger (chargepoint), I want to install a 48amps capacity (60amp breaker). I have looked at my usage data from the past year from the hydro company and I have the room to install this in my panel.
I plan to run the wires from my panel through my basement (unfinished) then drill a hole and run about 3ft of wire to outside for the charger (above ground). total run length is about 35ft.
I know Ontario has these clarifications: 86-1-* Electric vehicle charging systems
My preference is to hardwire this and not to use a junction box. I was hoping to use 6/2 NMD90 with ground wire.
The thing I'm having a hard time with is that I can't run the 3ft of the NMD90 outside in conduit since it is only rated for dry / damp locations. If this was in my garage I could do it as it's a dry location. Is this correct?
What are my options? Do a junction box and switch to T90 for 3ft to the charger outside? Or run T90 with conduit from the panel to the charger? Will running 3ft of NMD90 above ground to the charger be that big of a deal?

I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a lot of hope. My friend and former colleague, Abdul, is an exceptionally talented Product Owner and Manager, and right now, he’s looking for a new opportunity. It’s disheartening to see someone so gifted struggling to find a role that matches his caliber.

2025.01.21 03:20 goddess_of_harvest How to deal with fear and anger over the future?

I’ll be straight-forward, I’m really scared about what life is going to look like over the next four years. I’m an autistic trans person living in the USA and our new president and his administration is hell-bent on making the lives of people like me a living nightmare.
On some level, I understand this as a form of self-cherishing, as I’m afraid of what’s going to happen to me, which is an illusion. Some parts of me understand this will be a time where bad karma will come to fruition, and even be a chance to burn some of this bad karma out, like a flame burning off gasoline. I don’t want to create more bad karma for myself by acting out of anger. For all I know, I was once a powerful person who made millions of people’s lives awful and now that karma is about to come back around.
All of this will be temporary in the end, and I know that no matter what, I will be going to Amitabha Buddha’s Pure Land. I have deep faith in him and his Pure Land. I just find this anger, fear, anxiety, and hatred, hard to shake. I know those emotions will not be helpful getting through the dark times ahead. I don’t want them to rule over me. I know loving-kindness, joy, compassion, and equanimity are the real tools to combat this overwhelming tide of greed, anger, and delusion. How can I truly integrate these when dealing with what’s to come? What have you found to help you not be burned by the fire of anger towards others who want to hurt you? Thanks
Namo Amitabha Buddha 💛🪷
