Hello! I got my bachelors in biology with a concentration in wildlife biology three years ago. I was a research assistant for two years doing termite research and did some GIS and field work (basic surveying, trapping). I moved to central florida a year and a half ago and took the first job I could (asset maintenance but I do a lot of GIS work and permitting, and had a replanting project on a major highway in florida) and I planned to leave that job after a year and get a job in the environmental sector. I was hoping to do field work with surveys and GIS or really just anything ecology related but i’ve been applying for so long to every entry level job even remotely related and haven’t heard back from any.
Any advice on how I can make myself a more attractive hire? I’ve been considering getting my masters but I would only be able to do an online program because there are no programs near me related to environmental science and i’m pretty sure the most important part of my masters would be the field work. I write cover letters for each job and I did some work with a resume coach to really help the job hunt but I still haven’t had much luck. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!!

2025.01.21 03:21 Moosebubble Endgame monk struggles and attributes help.
I’m lvl 82. My monk is the triple element. Icestrike dos is around 31 to 75k. I want to put resistances on my gear, but if I replace any of my gear I won’t have the intellect for my skills, or I won’t have high enough dex to wield my staff.
I have 93 strength, 172 dex, and 171 intellect. I’m killing mobs and bosses like it’s nothing, but if I get frozen or stunned in any way I instantly die.
Resistances are 58% fire, 17% cold, 30% lightning, and 5% chaos. 1524 health, 1306 energy shield, but I use meditate to bump it to 2600. I have 79% evasion and 75% armor.
I can clear anything waypoint 10 or lower, but struggle with 12+ and again it’s usually just getting one shot from a creature.
Should I take away my strength and put more into intellect and dexterity so I can bump my resistances up? I see people with late game builds who have almost the max resistance on everything.. any advice please!

I realized today that I can name my favorite authors, my favorite movie directors, and even my favorite pinball designers, but I cannot think of a single name associated with any of my favorite video games. Can anyone help me understand why video game content creators do not receive the same recognition so many other entertainment industries receive?

Im 18 and have been working at home depot for like a month now. Ever since I started working there I heard my coworkers saying things about me being short. It went from saying behind my back to saying it to my face straight up. They say things like “are you a midget” or “ do you need a booster seat to drive a car.” Today one of them picked me up like I was a baby. The little manliness that I had is long gone now. I dont want to quit because ive been trying to get a job since I was 16 with no luck. I want to ask my boss to move to the garden center to get away from the harrassment because I dont know what else to do. How do you even deal with something like this

i dont know which sub to post this on but id like to know how to get started roleplaying. i have basicly no experience but the idea recently came to me while i was talking to strangers on discord and i started rping with someone. it was fun really fun and i wanna do that but more structured. in the past ive done a similar thing with my friends like id come up with a little story before recess and let my friends choose there path through it when break time came. its just kinda been this thing of oh ive got a fun idea for a roleplay and never really acting on it.
