I feel like I have ruined my entire college career. I used to rank in the top 3 of my class from 1st to 7th grade, but everything changed after moving countries and Covid. I lost my love for school and started turning in all my assignments late, and sometimes not at all. I lost all my good habits and stopped following a study plan, spending most of my time just scrolling on my phone. Freshman and Sophomore year I got B's and C's in the most easiest classes too. Since junior year I challenged myself with harder classes, and I tried to do what's best for me, but I keep getting B's and C's. Right now I have 3.5 UW GPA and 3.99W GPA. I know it's completely normal and average, but I can't help but feel like a failure and that I have let down my ambitions. I used to be math student of the year in schools but now I can’t even get an A. I have been accepted to my state colleges and plan to attend, but I can't stop thinking about what caused me to fall like this... just needed to vent right now

2025.01.21 03:30 wolfgang784 I just read about how Crysis was apparently so hard to run because the devs wanted it future proofed for hardware that did not exist yet, so it kept looking good even compared to new titles years later. How would you feel if a big name did that today? Ultra settings *nobody* can run yet?
This is assuming that "high" would be like the absolute limit of what current hardware is capable of. Not just straining it, but truly looking the part too. Stunning visuals.
Medium would be where most high-end rigs limits are. Medium-low or low settings for the majority of gamers, but still lookin good.
Even if you spent a million dollars on a rig, you cant run ultra in this scenario. Nobody can, period, no caveats. 24k textures or some shit, lol.
Do you think that'd go over well in today's gaming scene? A game that looks beautiful and is "future proofed" to keep looking beautiful even as new hardware and new games release for years to come?

Hello!
I don't have the greatest PC, but I would like to play Marvel Rivals regardless. I have every single display setting set to the lowest it can possibly be, I've followed this engine.ini config, and set launch options to "-USEALLAVAILABECORES". However, the game still only runs at max 30 fps in lobby, and whenever I try to enter a tutorial, it crashes, saying I need to allocate at least 10 GB of ram. Can someone help me out here?

I'm pretty new to conlanging, I have started it late November of last year, and I was wondering if there is any problem in making nouns and adjectives be the same words. I don't know of any real life language that does this, but then again I pretty much only know English and Portuguese.
Currently, for example, the word "nié" means "rareness, uniqueness" and then the adjective is created by adding a suffix. In the case of words that end in vowels, I add "-dre". So "niédre" means "rare, unique". I wanted to make it so both are "nié".
"nié" = rareness, a rareness "thal nié" = the rareness "nié dina" = rare girl "niéni dina" = rareness of girl, rareness of the girl, girl's rareness (instead of making the equivalent of "of" be a separate word, it's instead a suffix to the word that is possessed by the other)
I feel like with this system there's no chance of confusion, but I'm worried I'm missing something and will have to redo it in the future. So, will this cause confusion? and do any of you guys have conlangs where adjectives and nuns are the same words?
