2025.01.21 04:44 Even-Client-3868 90k LOSS because of HDFC. Shit forex rates.
HDFC bank gave me such poor forex rate on transferring 50k USD, that I lost around 90k INR. This is in comparison to market USD rate. HDFC reps have been nothing but totally incompetent and shit. Bear in mind this was the rate given after a 'special rate approval' and the employee has ever since denied to give any guarantee of future rates or anything. I want my loss compensated in any way or form and not rely on future transactions for this loss recovery. 90K IS NOT a small amount and I won't spare 1 job if that's for me to bear this loss.
The problem though, is ,banks have the right to set their own rates when it comes to forex thus the ability to exploit someone insanely, legally. So legally, they are all good.
How to deal with this? Should I file a complaint with RBI? Does that stand any ground?
Moreover, I am only furious because I def have people in contacts who get better rates, such as only 20-30 paise diff. I got 1 rupee 30 paisa diff.

Hello, I just had a quick question if anyone doesn’t mind helping me out. I plan on using the “plan it” feature for a $1000 purchase here soon. When I use this feature before it only gave me the 24 months option. I don’t see how this purchase will be any different but I do want to pay it off considerably earlier.
So my question is, could I pay off my entire adjusted balance and then anything extra I pay after that adjusted balance go towards my “plan it” balance? Cause what I don’t want to happen is I’m so used to paying off my balance early that if I pay midway through my cycle, it goes towards the “plan it” balance instead of my normal daily spending balance. Am I understanding this correctly? Thank you!

I was interviewing for another job in my company. This was the worst interview experience that I had in my lifetime. The hiring manager had a initial one on one with me and insisted me to apply for that position. Once I applied for the position - within weeks I got an email that I’m moving to the interview round, and after that for almost a month and a half the hiring manager ghosted me, and then I get to know that I’m not eligible for this role because they seem to think that there is a skill set mismatch. When I was going through the feedback call with the hiring manage - I realised that they actually didn’t go through my resume and the kind of skills that they were looking for I actually had. The hiring manager realised the same and asked me to go through the interviews within a day. All three rounds. I went through the same and turned out - I was one of the top candidates. So the hiring manager asked me to talk to my managers then again for a month, she ghosted and at the end of the day, gave the response that I am not eligible the role due to a location mismatch and they don’t have budget to relocate me.
I’m just amazed at the unprofessional behaviour and the stringing along. In hindsight, I’m happy that I’m not joining this team because the managers seem to be really indecisive and apparently loves ghosting, but I still feel bad
