The 50amp power cords I've found also show a wattage rating of 12500. Does the power cord wattage rating need to match the generator size?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask for advice but i'm really struggling at my work. My manager has been really shady. She's hired her "best friend" about 6 months ago and given her public holidays and extra shifts- recently shes just hired her friend and her step daughter. Shes obviously been giving them special treatment with giving them extra shifts and public holidays even when they're not rostered on. She's also been bullying some of my colleagues, trying to trick people into resigning, a coworker was moving from FT to PT and she tried to get her to email them saying shes "resigning" from FT and going to PT when other coworkers have only had to say they'd like to switch from FT to PT in their emails. She's called a coworker a b!tch and told her to Grow up (this is a 50 yr old women talking to a 19 yr old). Shes started to recently be passive aggressive to me and other co workers. I'm a casual atm but I reached out a few months ago asking to move to PT, i was told that'd be okay. but since her friend and step daughter have been hired i haven't been swapped over after emailing multiple times. Me and some of my coworkers have noticed a drop of shifts as well since we stopped being nice to her. She's tried hiring her daughter as well last year but only stopped cause her daughter was going away to japan. I'm wondering who i could speak to, I thought of reaching out to my union but my other manager who sides with manger 1 is our union rep. I dont wanna cause a big fuss but im just sick of this, i dont know if i could call it workplace bullying but it all just feels very wrong. Our role is meant to be great for students getting into the bachelor we assist as well so it's upsetting seeing students miss out on this opportunity so our managers friends can be hired.

Aside from waiting to vote in the next election, you can vote with something more powerful: your wallet and your attention. I will share some of my favorite ways to do this below and please feel free to share your own ideas.
Starve the big tech companies of your data Tech companies primarily make money by serving you ads and tracking your browsing activity across the web. Luckily, there are a lot of great tools available for even a tech novice to block this tracking and block ads.
On Desktop:
- Install Firefox. Go to Preferences > Privacy & Security. Set Enhanced Tracking Protection to "Strict"
- Install the uBlock Origin extension for Firefox
- Use the DuckDuckGo search engine, which can be made your default search engine in Firefox
These three things combined will make you much harder to track and serve ads to. If in the rare case a site doesn't load properly, you can temporarily disable these tracking protections.
- Use a VPN. Secure private VPNs such as Proton and Mullvad conceal your internet browsing habits from your internet service provider (ISP). ISPs often track your browsing data and sell it to third parties. Paying for a premium VPN will usually yield a better performance.
On Mobile:
- I recommend using Firefox Focus with the DuckDuckGo search engine for everyday searches and for web activity you don't need to be signed into a service with. No data is retained in this browser after closing it.
- Brave browser with their crypto feature disabled is quite nice for ad-free web browsing. There are various settings you can toggle on or off for a better less-distracting web experience.
- Use a VPN.
In General:
- Delete as much social media as you can. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Snapchat, etc. Social media companies can make hundreds of dollars per year from each individual user by serving you ads and recommended content in your feeds. Every active account makes them more valuable to shareholders and advertisers. These platforms knowingly and purposely spread content that is harmful, untrue, and addictive to keep you angrily clicking and scrolling. Reclaim your power and delete this garbage. Want to stay in touch with someone? Call them, text them, or write them. Distant acquaintances are not worth what these companies take from you.
- Conceal your communications from scans by Big Tech. They use your messages and photos sent to loved ones to sell you more personalized ads and train their AI models. Instead, use Signal for group chats, video calling, and other messaging activity. Signal is end-to-end encrypted by default, meaning no one besides you and the recipient can see the contents of your message, including the metadata of that message. Signal is among the most popular, secure, and user-friendly ways to communicate online. It is trusted by journalists, activists, and cybersecurity experts. They even have a "View-once" message feature where you can send disappearing photo messages like Snapchat which I use all the time with my friends and family.
- Consider end-to-end encrypted services for e-mail, calendar, and note-taking. All of these types of apps harvest data, scan your intimate life details, and make big tech money.
Starve large corporations of revenue - Buy less. If you need something, buy it used. If you need to buy it new, buy local. More on this in my recent post here. There is so much stuff already in the world I promise that 9/10 times you can find it used somewhere for less than half the store price.
- Grow anything in a garden if you have access. In World War 2, "Victory gardens" were started by citizens to help reduce pressure on the food supply. Today, they can be used to save you money from greedy food corporations and improve your health by crowding out the high profit margin processed foods you might be eating that are also hurting your health. Bonus points if you can acquire the necessary gardening equipment used.
- Buy meat, cheese, veggies, and bread locally. Keeping dollars in the hands of local farmers and in your community has a huge impact over time. The food you get is also almost always fresher and healthier.
- Contribute to your local Buy Nothing group. Instead of donating things to a thrift store where they can often be sold at unfair prices or eventually dumped in a landfill, see if you can give your things directly to someone in your community. This stops waste and corporate profits dead in its tracks.
Sensible lifestyle changes - Wash your clothing less. It will extend the life of your garments, saving you money and reducing your wateelectricity bill. If you live in a suitable climate, hang dry your laundry when it makes sense.
- Go for more walks. Weight lift. Sleep more. Read books from your local library. You will be less stressed and more healthy as a result. This will help you show up for yourself and others in your life in a more productive way.
- Obviously avoid fascist-aligned businesses where possible. Support progressive or neutral companies when you do need something, like a new/used car.
Carbon emissions and other expenses - Make a deliberate effort to waste less food. Also, consider taking up composting, if possible. Doing so will reduce the amount of plastic garbage bags you use/buy and improve the yield of your garden, if you have one. Composting is one of the best things you can do for the environment.
- Carpool to social events with friends and family. Saving gas also deprives large oil companies of income
- Get creative with social events at home. Game nights, group walks/runs, wine/cheese night, dinner parties, movie nights, etc. No need to get drunk at a bar and spend $50+ in the process.
- For vacation, travel to local and semi-local places you've been putting off. You'll be happy to better know these spots in your vicinity and save a lot of money on vacations and fuel in the process.
Remember that it is impossible to be perfect with these things but doing just a few of the things I listed above can have an outsized impact over your lifetime. Also remember there are many like-minded people out there also doing these things for the same reasons. I hope this was helpful. Let's fight these bastards tooth and nail to the next election and every single election after that. Every dollar and click matters to these greedy turds.

Hi, I (21f) came out as bisexual at 14 since i always knew i was attracted to both men and women but now im not too sure…
I find myself leaning more towards men when dating and i’ve only ever slept/hooked up with men but i’ve never been in long term relationships. I tend to break up with the person after a few months as i lose interest or attraction (mind you these are men I usually date).
Lately, i’ve been thinking more and more about wanting to explore dating women but the older i get the more scared i am since im so inexperienced with women. I guess im just questioning whether I am bisexual or lesbian.. but then i get confused since i enjoy sleeping with men but ive never been with a women sexually so i guess im just confused again.
I’m just wondering if there’s any advice for exploring and if im just being silly about being scared to be with women 😅 and/or if anyone else has had a similar experience. I’m like 80% sure i’m definitely bi but because i lose interest in men fairly quickly im wondering if i might actually be lesbian.. anyway. Please let me know if there’s anything 😋

While I understand extreme situations (Level 3 Snow Emergencies) deserve a class cancelation, looking to elementary schools as an example to close a college is a bit silly.
We all voluntarily applied and accepted to go to a school in Northeast Ohio. We're all tied to our electronics so there's no reason the weather and normal winter conditions should be a mystery.
Personally I find it annoying to close the campus unless you physically can't get around. If I wanted to do online courses, I'd go to school online. I don't learn well online. And, the work doesn't stop either. Professors still send the homework and expect the same result off a video vs an in person hour long class.
If the roads are impassable fine. But cold temps? I'm sorry. I'm gonna put double hoodies on under my North Face and I'm going to class (if we have it)
