Fellas, I’m curious to hear your personal experiences with facial hair between your 20’s & 30’s; Good or bad.
I’ve always wanted a full beard but genetics have limited me to an average stache and patchy/thinness across chin & cheeks. Search up Jack Harlow - now picture that without as much cheek fuzz.
I’m 28 and curious to hear if anyone’s situation improved or declined around 30. Friend of mine couldn’t grow one til 30 and now looks like Dumbledore. Another had a full beard by 16.

Call me a cranky old timer when it comes to Macs, but I realized the other day that I cannot find sleep settings on newer Macs anymore! Googling just sends me to the lock screen settings page.
Ok, that lets me set a timer for display sleep, screen saver, screen lock password requirement.
But how can I tell the computer to sleep after N minutes? Or to never sleep?
Even on intel Macs, these settings are gone. But I know the hardware supports sleep.
Theres also a few checkboxes in Energy Saver but nothing about sleeping or not sleeping?
Are sleep settings hiding out with the parental controls?
Can I please get old System Preferences back??

I'm ashamed to say this but I feel out of control. I absolutely love my cat so much, she is a kitten probably 3-4 months in the playful teenager phase. For some reason her meow crying and running away triggers me to fly off the handle.
I love playing with her and I don't mind at all when she bites or scratches me, but for some reason I get so angry at night when I have to put her in our bathroom and she starts crying to get out. I hate putting her in our bathroom so much and I don't want to but everyone in my house agrees against me that it's too dangerous for her to be roaming the house at night and she'll get stuck in something or eat a wire or break something.
So every night I put her in the bathroom, she has a comfy bed, a litter box, a scratching post and a couple of toys. But the second she realizes what's going on she dashes out the door and when I can keep her in their she immediately starts meowing and crying and I just wish she would stop it makes me feel so guilty and for some reason tbe guilt turns into anger and I feel enraged and so so violent.
I think a lot of this is reminding me of having postpartum depression with my child and is triggering me in that way, I had so many bad nights of the same issue with my human baby and nightime and sleeping on a schedule it just takes me back I guess. I thought I had come so far but I'm just losing it. I don't know why. I'm not normally like this but I go from loving to completely enraged, i felt violent and it scares me.I don't want to hurt her, yet I feel crazy
I know the answer when I'm feeling angry is to separate myself from the source but the fact that the separation is what makes my cat cry makes it feel paradoxical and hard.

I have an injury that I currently causing pain but can be managed with physio, heat,pain medication and rest when required. rest may include lying on a flat surface during meal breaks to shift positions foirm sitting. While the onset of the acute level pain was during non work hours, my working conditions may have contributed to it. I'd be happy to get a professional opinion on whether that is the case.
Although I work in an office most of the time, around 90% of my job is administrative and 5-10% on different sites around the state. I have a note from my doctor saying I can do administrative duties but not go to sites.
Work now wants me to go to an office closer to me and work from there instead of the site in SA I was due to go to this week. Walking makes my muscles tighten up in my legs and back and I think working from their closest office will extend the time it takes to rehabilitate the injury.
Work is also asking me to get a note from my physio about what I can and can't do. Should they be paying for this given my doctor has already stated I can do admin duties? I think WFH short term while I attend rehabilitation is reasonable. It seems like someone in the organisation is thinking that anyone who is not present in their chair in the office where they can see them is not doing work when in fact the person is doing the same work elsewhere.
Any tips on how to address this? I only want some flexibility to attend rehabilitation and other medical requirements and WFH for under 3 months. If I need to use sick leave because I feel trash on a particular day, I will but they're essentially saying I should either not be working at all and use up all sick and annual leave (and leave my department down one person) or be back at work like nothings wrong but in a different office which would require me to walk 2-4 kms and go by public transport and carry all my office gear as they hot desk.
It feels like I'm being treated like a child when I'm doing my best to navigate a difficult, painful thing in an adult way while doing the best I can to not let the department or the team down. Each injury is different and it seems they don't really believe this is in fact bad enough seeing as I show up on zoom calls etc.
