2025.01.21 06:01 LleBarnes Disappointment in Myself - Need your advice
When I thought I had confidence in myself but yet I was disappointed. So normally, I'm comfortable putting lotion on naked. Since today was MLK day, the gym was packed. Of course, I ran into couple regulars before working out than it slowly died down when I finished working out. I ran into one of the guys that I normally have CrossFit with and he was comfortable stripping off his towel IN FRONT of me as he was weighing himself. Of course, I bashfully look away to give him privacy but I don't think he noticed or cared. We went our separate ways to our lockers and I normally strip down to put lotion on.
To my surprise, one of the regulars came up behind me with "Looking good! how are you doing?" I quickly grabbed my towel to cover up my privates and from the respect of him. He darted his eyes quickly to respect my privacy. Immediately I was ashamed of covering up but it was out of habit. I'm not used to someone that knows me seen me naked and also even speaking to me.
To gain that confidence is to be naked in front of someone I know. I would like to know what you do to gain that confidence. Second, build that confidence of engaging with that someone while naked as they confidently look at your body. Third, accepting the fact that they will comment on your body as they cross-examine it with all of your insecurities shown. My fellow communal shower readers, how do you do this and how long did it take you to not feel ashamed of your body?

I 23 (F) have been best friend with 23 (M) who I will call Kyle for the sake of this post. We have been best friends since I was 4 when my parents moved to the US from Mexico my dad worked for his dad and so we met and became friends. We don’t have much of a love history other than we were each others first kiss just because we wanted to get it over with. We always dated other people and had boundaries while seeing others for respect. He got married a year ago. We were hanging out the yesterday without his wife because she couldn’t make it. We usually always have her included as well. But anyways we went to a bar and he got really drunk. I was tipsy and was telling him how my grad school was going to be expensive and I don’t know how I will afford it. Kyle has a lot of money as he took over his fathers business. He then told me how I should of married him and I would be set for life. I kind of just laughed it off. He then brought up how he’s always been in love with me but didn’t think I felt the same way and didn’t want to ruin the friendship. He said how he doesn’t feel any love for his wife and if I were to give him a chance he would divorce her in a second. He also told me how when my he was the one paying for my bachelors degree. He would give my dad the money to pay for them but didn’t want me to know it was from him. I don’t know what to do. I haven’t talked to him since yesterday. Honestly when I was in high school I would sometimes wonder what it would be like to date him but neither of us took it any further. What the heck do I do?

Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with an Weber a lateral malleolus avulsion fracture, grade Ill ankle sprain. It is an old injury so my orthopedic doctor recommended no boot/cast, 8 weeks of PT, and I can continue to play soccer as long as I tape my ankle. I wanted to hear any advice to make my recovery go well :)

2025.01.21 06:01 Haydukette Vieques to Ceiba or San Juan if I'm visiting El Yunque? Home base recs?
So - my first time in PR I'm doing a very last minute trip, trying to make a decision on how to spend the last few days. I'll be on Vieques first and spending my last night in Old San Juan but have 2 nights before that I need to plan. I love hiking, snorkeling and nature, so I'm trying to decide if I should fly from Vieques to Ceiba so I can rent a car there and explore that side of the island as I visit El Yunque prior to driving back - or if I should just fly from Vieques to SJU, get a car there and drive back down to explore Yunque. I would love to find a home base for the 2 nights to spend with good views in nature and it seems like there are a few more options on the northwest side of the forest, if so, would that mean just going back to SJU first is the better choice? Would this make it difficult if I wanted to visit more places like Cabezas de San Juan and am I going to really miss out if I don't visit this eastern/Fajardo side? Any favorite places to stay in nature, preferably with great views?
I prefer a lack of crowds and was thinking exploring parts of the forest that aren't the main entrance might be the way to go, but if it is just going to be lots more driving for little extra time in nature would it be better to scratch that idea? Also, anyone have experience with the night walk at Yunque done by Para La Naturaleza and would you recommend it?
