A National Park Ranger told writer David Paulides a troubling story. Over his years of involvement with numerous search and rescue operations at several different National Parks, he had detected a trend that he couldn’t understand.
So...now it's a male ranger who worked at "several" different National Parks in SAR ops, and THE RANGER detected the trend?
The Ranger explained that during the first seven to 10 days of a disappearance he would witness massive search and rescue activity and significant press coverage. Following this initial weeklong effort there was almost always an immediate halt to the coverage, a discontinued search for the victims and no explanation from the search authorities.
I will take "things that didn't happen for $1000". First, it's not unusual for the first seven to ten days of investigation/search to be the most significant. Mainly because there's a finite window for how long humans can survive without particular necessities. Saying that there's an "almost always an immediate halt" to "coverage" doesn't mean a halt to an investigation. "Almost always...a discontinued search and no explanation"? Yes, David. When a person has not been found, there isn't an explanation because speculating and fabricating a narrative to satiate the appetites of conspiracy theorists is lousy police work.
It bothered David enough that he began asking questions yet he got no answers. So he conducted research. What he discovered shocked him. People of all ages have been disappearing from National Parks and forests at an alarming rate, all under similar circumstances. Victims’ families are left without closure and the Park Service refuses to follow up or keep any sort of national list and/or database of the missing people. Thousands of missing people.
Pop quiz: It bothered David so much that he...
A) started raising funds and people to continue searching?
B) joined a SAR unit or became an advocate for victims?
C) researched every case thoroughly and provided accurate, updated reports for each individual?
D) decided to commoditize the misfortune and suffering of others while cherry-picking and wholesale lying about the missing?
Also, I like how, in 2024, he still states that there is no list of the missing and insinuates that it would be the National Park Service's job to keep such a list.
David’s instincts told him this was a story that needed to be told. He devoted six years to investigating missing people in rural areas. The result? The identification of 52 geographical clusters of missing people in North America.

I’m so curious as to how that project was conducted, who worked on it, and if Apple could do something with that in the future for fans of the show.

I've always had paranormal type things happen on and off since I was little, like when I was quite young I remember my dead cat getting in the bed with me, and in the past I've seen and heard residual energy, heard and seen ghosts, became a paranormal investigator where I had a lot of interaction with ghosts, have been attacked by demons which I prayed to God to send Archangel Michael to protect me from which worked, I've seen angels, I've seen an air elemental, one day I just started feeling a spirit on my left and right sides and they've never left since, which I assume are my guides, and I have had many visions and have communicated and blah blah, I've taken a few shamanic journeys, and anyway, now I have an entity that sexually abuses me and I cannot protect myself from her no matter what. I am a former rape victim, and this horrible ordeal seems to be why she is doing it. She has penetrated me in my back end and touched just about every part you can name that would defile a woman, I've had many nights where I've screamed for hours and cried and cried because of this evil thing, and I've tried to kill myself because of it. More than once. If I take a salt bath yo try to cleanse myself, while I'm sitting in my towel she will touch my vagina just to defile me so I cannot be clean no matter what. No amount of prayer, smudging, asking guides, gaurdians, angels, anything has done anything at all to help. She has screamed at me and told me to protect myself, so I tried and she attacked me again just to show me I can't protect myself, she told me to do a shamanic journey so I opened sacred space and was sexually assaulted right away, and I swear that my guides hate me, I swear God hates me and I swear that I'm about to just blow my head off just so she can't get to me any more. No matter what I do, nothing helps. I hate spirits now, which I used to be super passionate and into but now I just want to stop being oppressed. I hate that my guides and God or anything or anyone can't or won't help. This has been going on for years. It's not every day, but a lot of time it's when I'm trying to relax to go to sleep, she will even keep me from sleeping at all sometimes. I've been at work waiting on customers and she will touch my anus or pull a hair back there. She will say disgusting things to me and I cuss her and tell her yo shut up and worse, and really what's the point of living? I'm not getting basically raped in my own bed in my own house for the rest of my natural life. I will find a way to kill myself if this doesn't end. And please don't tell me to remain positive. If you aren't psychic, please JUST DONT GIVE ME ADVICE! I NEED TO HEAR FROM A MEDIUM OR SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME ON A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL PLEASE!

I've never bought a mini gt before. I have the AO Racing Rexy on the way. I got fed up with hot wheels making 50 Landrovers and the dot matrix printing was somehow getting worse, and all I want are really nice rims and details (The new Ford Puma coming out is amazing). What are some of your favorite models from them that can still be found sub $20?
