2025.01.21 08:20 Cold-Brick-8199 Pixel 8 infinitely "Checking network info..." screen, why?
For some reason, I can't install any eSim on Google Pixel 8 device. Last time, I added an eSim in Europe, December 2024 without any issues, and after a device reset, now it's not working in any way. The physical SIM seems to be working without any issues.
I've tried to:
- Scan QR Code from the camera.
- Add from Network&Internet->SIMs->Set up eSim -> Scan QR code flow
- Add from Network&Internet->SIMs->Set up eSim -> Manual input of requested eSim details.
I have Google Pixel 4a5G and iPhone 15 Pro, that handle the eSim QR without any issues 10/10 times.
How I tried to troubleshoot the issues will be a long story, but I can say that I've tried factory reset several times, the same as the complete device flash via Google's web flasher. The issues reproduce for Android 14, Android 15, and Android 16 dev preview. I also tried to play with the phone settings menu accessible via *#*#4636*#*# and it makes no difference.
Have no idea what may cause the issue.

I haven't really seen many people outside of work, maybe a few friends and some family. I go to work, come home, hang out with my family. Kids, wife go to sleep and then I isolate for hours. I'm enjoying my time to catching up on things. I listen to music/podcasts, watch movies, TV shows, causally game and folder organize on PC. I don't play online on Console/ PC and mobile I'm playing non-competitively against others with no communication.
I know it's depression, I'm not denying that. Although I am enjoying the discovery of new and old, games, movies and music. I'm appreciating many forms of art. I know I need to climb out of this rabbit hole.

It's been two years since I started using Aldi Mobile. What I noticed is that as soon as your monthly data runs out, the internet speed drops to 6mbps or something. For ages, I have been purchasing data before my monthly expires. When I buy more data, the speed goes back to 80mbps. So I figured out that they force you to purchase more data even before your monthly data ends. So, the data rollover is a misleading advertisement and inaccurate data display on the app. It shows the data rollover, but you can't actually use it because the internet is too low to even open a webpage, let alone send an email. I did call Aldi Mobile, and they told me to reset my mobile settings, which I did so many times. Nothing has worked.

i am on LineageOS and was wondering if i can spice anything up? id like to customize the quick setting menu like on evolution X rom (i just came from that rom and as of 15 theirs not a lot of customization this time around) and especially change the awful stock recent menu but from what i heard due to how new android 15 is there is not many customization available at the moment. If possible id not like to use Xposed but if its a must and doesn't break play integrity ill try it.
