I've been meditating pretty regularly for about 4 years now. Mostly Zazen style. I've definitely seen benefits from this. I'm generally calmer, lighter and more positive. When it comes to my thoughts, I find that the content has become also become more positive and less self hating. Also, I'm a lot more aware that I'm thinking at any given point and so I'm not getting lost in thoughts as much.
However, I would not say that my mind has become any quiter since I started. Even though the content is less depressed and anxious, my mind is still constantly full of chatter all the time. So I'm wondering if actually having less mind chatter is a realistic goal or is the game to just be aware and accepting of all the chatter?

So I went to the orthopedic today, 11 days after an arm fracture, and he was not happy with what he saw. Immediately decided to do a closed reduction. First by stretching the arm and then with an assistant push the bone into position. A bit painful.
He was confident after that the bone is in position now. Still, I went for a second opinion at another hospital, and there the doctor made it look like it's serious and needs surgery.
Of course, I am confused now. What's your opinion?

I chose to break contact with my entire family. All of them. So, I don't do any illegal or prescription drugs. I don't drink or smoke. My family has serious drug addiction issues. And before that major issues with backbiting and scapegoating. Child abuse is basically a way of life for them. The entire family. My mother is so awful she is offering bounties for my whereabouts so she can file bogus charges against me when I haven't spoken to her in five years. Of course the family wants to collect the bounty because of their drug issues. Finally today I just went through and blocked every single one of them on every platform and device.
I've been homeless for over a year now. I left civilization voluntarily. I'm just so sick of people behaving like this. Being essentially gangstalked by your own family feels horrible. I'm really just bringing this up because occasionally I see people in here looking for relatives. If you're having to look for us, maybe it's because you're horrible and we want nothing to do with you.
For those wondering I do have friends that look after me pretty hard. I'm checked on every couple of days. I do have people that love me. It's just not my family. So it's not me. Frankly I'm glad to be rid of them, even if it means sleeping in 5°F weather.

I'm suprised and not suprised at the same time. I'm just hoping they don't only add 4C hairs once we get to the "cool and sexy/hiphop" region or something like that. For context, I'm African American with locs, but i dress in a very cute, almost lolita style. (And mainly in light pink lol).
The game is loved and marketed globally, so thats the main reason I'm a tiny bit suprised. And before i get any replies about it, no, I'm not trying to say the game is against my hair. Its just something i would love to see in-game.
Yes, i know its a Chinese game. But they added in a darker skin tone (and hopefully they'll add more), so they are aware of dark skinned people and their various features.
Why do i want them to add more hair textures? Because its fun. Its nice to be able to make different looks with different hairstyles and textures. Plus, curly hair, especially 4C hair, is extremely versatile! It literally defies gravity in most cases.
It would be nice to see 4C hair in a fantasy themed setting too. You can shape a afro into a heart or a star. You can turn locs, braids, and twists into cute pigtails and many other cute whimsical styles. I hope IN knows this.
And finally, yes, i know some players would use that to do bad things. But I'd still love to see my hair texture added anyway. I know the game is new, so I'm hoping they add more variety in the future.

I am 28M, Indian currently living in Germany since few years. I work as a product manager since 2023 after my masters.
I have always been interested in entrepreneurship and wanted to start something of my own. I think it's a calling that comes to me often because I love executing on ideas that I have and see the result that comes out of it.
But I am a bit confused though on when and how I should take that plunge. I would love to start something back in India because I have more support structure there and feel India is more conducive to software or tech related to business than prob. Germany. I say this because now whenever I want to make the decision there are a series of sub-decisions like quitting my current job, moving back that comes along.
I dont have a specific idea on what I should tackle. I have some ideas that I start as side projects every now and then. I feel without taking a plunge I might never go into execution and would be stuck in ideation always.
On the other hand, I also sometimes feel, without getting experience or a specific use case in mind, it might be a gamble and if this entrepreneurship thing is a phase in my mind.
I want to know if any of you went through this phase and what brought more clarity for you. What helped you in taking/not taking that plunge?
