 | Hey everyone, I just purchased a 2007 Xterra and I'm having oil pressure issues. It has pressure when I startup but doesn't have pressure at idle and if you increase the throttle pressure goes up but it does tend to cut out sometimes I know the timing chains need to be done and it's making the noise but the things I've done is, change to oil and new oil pressure sensor. Is there anywhere else to look? I'm trying to decipher if it's worth putting money into this motor or purchasing a new one. Not sure if these motors are done once a low pressure issues start. I am halfway through RDR2 and it's sad how bad some gameplay elements are designed or implemented. Downright pathetic even looking at half-baked trash like stealth...
I honestly liked the immersive features. Slow animations, lack of fast travel, slow transitions all around, weighty movement, using actual in-game items to browse catalogues in the shops instead of shitty UI menus... The graphics are insanely well done, I like how animals look or behave, foliage looks fantastic and geography is awesome. Sound mixing is amazing. There are a lot of universally liked features of the game and even some like slower pace that garnered some criticism I honestly liked. Also the First Act is not that long lmao it is basically just a tutorial... My only gripes with the game are the lack of interactions you can have with the overall game world and how poorly implemented the ones that exist are.
You either ride a horse(clunky but good enough), loot stuff (unresponsive controls especially in tight spaces I constantly switch to first person in-doors), shoot people (all missions are simple shooting galleries) or kill animals (hunting). Of course the big thing is talking to people which is what the story or rather stories are. Stories are great. I can see why the game got such high praise. I am not just talking about main story but rather the way encounters work and the encounters you come across. Fun stuff constantly happens on the wilderness that's R* way of balancing the lack of fast travel and boing traversal. Horse riding is fine, I am not gonna criticize it too much. It gets the job done.
Looting is not a complicated task but it is featured in most missions. It gets rather repetitive but my actual problem is the bad interaction hooks. Camera doesn't seem to play a role in what object (interactable object) is currently being considered. For the game to catch an interaction you need to move Arthur someway. First person camera solves this so I am not gonna shit on it too much but I think this is a gross oversight by the devs imo and is a clear example of incompetence releasing it like this for third person camera. GTAV got the First Person camera with PC release iirc lmao imagine playing those missions in RDR2 in third person.
Shooting is actually fine but my problem is the amount of shooting you do relative to doing something else. All missions are just shooting people. There is nothing else you can do. Early on I got the bow and the throwing knives, we also have executions and knock-outs so I was hopeful to try out some stealth when stealing that oil wagon. I am not expecting Far Cry levels of stealth (which is not a high bar mind you) here but at the very least they shuld've at least reached the "tacked-on stealth section" quality we see in so many games. Even the simplistic way it is implemented in BF1 campaign would be appreciated. And inclusion of throwing knives etc. indicates that Rockstar actually did try. THEY TRIED AND FAILED at this gameplay element. It was obviously trash and they decided to ship it as is which is mind boggling. If the other parts of the game wasn't so good I wouldn't be so hung up on this but that's not the case. They spent half a decade, hundreds of millions making this masterpiece (not) of a game but they left stealth, one gameplay element that could actually spice things up in gameplay variety department, in this half assed garbage state? Honestly sad and pathetic fucking take it out if it is not working...
This lack of variety and shitty stealth problem extends into hunting as well. Killing animals, hunting, is the second most prominent activity in the game and again here we face the same problem. It is repetitive because the gameplay elements are not quite working well. Stealth sucks, tracking an animal is too simplistic, spawns are inconsistent... At least I have fun lassoing deers and using a knife to melee kill but it should've been more varied. There is a scent covering lotion in the game but I never felt the need to use it. Baits similarly... It is just not well implemented all around. Just like stealth, hunting feels unfinished. Animals are there, they look and sound gorgeous. Well detailed, well animated. It is the way you interact with them that's the problem. And you can see Arthur's scent, other horse's scent etc. the scent lotion as well and you can see that the gameplay designers had bigger ideas about hunting they were just not realized.
Finally this lack of attention to GAMEplay is also present in UX. Controls, button prompts etc. are just unpolished all around. Looking at an animal in compendium and going back to game takes 10 seconds because menus are too slow. I don't mind Arhur turning the page slowly when reading the ledger because that's immersion but I am already in the ESC menu why is it still so slow? Why do I need to hold ENTER to donate a single item? I have 25 watches and buckles I want to donate. Go to a shop and you can sell them with a single button press?
Overall I found myself trying to engage with the game mechanics because how gorgeous and immersive the game is but the play part of the GAMEPLAY is too unpolished. I am gonna rush through the story now which I heard is great to the end. I am hopeful I liked the game but I will never accept it as a 10/10 no matter what, not with this shit gameplay. This is Rockstar's anti-Ubisoft I think. Great story with bad gameplay against Ubisoft's bad story with good gameplay mantra. At the very least it was like that when I was playing Ubisfot games. I didn't see Rockstar nail gameplay so far but Ubisoft did a few times with titles like AC2. I will be playing Odyssey after this I wanna see how it goes on that front. I honestly think Ubisoft deserves an apology tho, if RDR2 is getting this much praise for it's non-gameplay elements being peak I think in this medium we call GAMING there must be some respect paid to games with good gameplay as well.

Hello all,
Hoping someone can offer some insight into this. I accepted an offer on my leasehold flat and subsquently had an offer accepted on a house puchase.
All went smoothly on both sides and progressed at roughly the same rate. About 12 weeks later we were pretty much ready to go on both sides.
It was only then we found out my buyer’s lender required a deed of variation to be completed due to some terms in the lease for the flat.
This took a further 10 weeks to be completed and due to the delay this caused I lost the house I wanted to purchase.
My question is this:
Should my solicitor, knowing they were managing the sale of a leasehold property, have flagged that a deed of variation may be required?
I’ve been hit with a decent bill from the solictor for overseeing the purchase which fell through. I want to dispute this and I feel like it should have been their responsibility to flag this may have been needed at the start - if this had been done then we would have completed without any issues.
Is this a reasonable expectation? Or is my understanding incorrect and it’s not something one would expect a solicitor to consider may be needed?
Just trying to understand if it’s worth trying to dispute the bill based on this.

I bought my buddy's concept2 machine, and it's been in his garage for 3 or 4 years. It still works fine, and I cleaned a lot of the dirt and cobwebs off already. However, the handles are sticky, and I've tried Clorox wipes as well as a regular wet rag, but they're still sticky. I can't row with it because I know using the handles longer than 5 minutes will irritate my hands. How should I properly clean off the handles?

I'll try to keep this as brief and interesting as I possibly can. I'm in search for more roleplay partners! (Surpriseeee...) Preferably ones that are literate and detailed in their writing. I'm not asking for you to spill your blood, sweat and tears, but I would like a bit of effort. I absolutely love world building and the relationships that blossom along the way.
This can and hopefully includes the tension and emotions that don't quite reach the surface but are certainly bubbling up to explode at any given moment. One sided loves, enemies to lovers, toxic or messy relationships, all the good stuff.
If you couldn't guess, I prefer roleplaying with morally grey characters that are lonely and deprived of any sort of love and emotion. Ones that are conflicted with what is right or wrong. Most of all, I enjoy the development that comes with these sort of relationships. For instance, the trope; touch her and you die and I hate everyone but them are indescribable. These are just my preferences though! And as long as we can come to a comfortable middle ground, even I'd be happy with that.
Right now I would like to try out a military-based roleplay, this involving a Sergeant and new recruit. The themes with this would be slightly darker, enemies to lovers type of deal. I can go over this in greater detail if you are interested, just please let me know.
As for any fandom x OC characters, I would love to roleplay with someone willing to play as Joel Miller from TLOU, Kylo Ren from STAR WARS, or Rick Grimes / Negan from TWD.
I have been roleplaying for a little over 10 years now, so I value having a partner who is keen to input their ideas and thoughts into the story. If you're interested please let me know!
