2025.01.22 00:43 Regular-Arm-4993 My thoughts on the Zen individual rankings debate
I, as opposed to others on this sub, do believe that Zen deserves to be ranked this high on the recent individual rankings list that has been coming out over the past few days.
"But Zen's results were bad." - ok, let's do an exercise. Take whoever you think was the top player of 2024-2025 and swap them with Zen. Tell me honestly that you think that player, whether Beastmode/TRK/Dralii/MM/whoever would win more than Zen. Going through a few examples...
Dralii - he won two LANs but both of those LAN.s had multiple 4-3 / 4-2 victories that surely would have gone the other way if we swapped MM/Exotiik for Alpha/Radosin.
I think Dralii is the closest to being able to carry Alpha/Rado to winning a LAN (because of their strong solo-play ability + ability to slot into any role). Other players like Exo/MM are unable to carry a team due to weaker solo play ability, while Falcons and G2 players r built to play in a system where all 3 players on the team are very strong and perform their job well (just look at last year's V1/Falcons/Rule 1) where all of these players couldn't do anything when they had weaker teammates.
I definitely agree that Zen isn't as great compared to the field as last year, but I think more broadly rl has reached a point where no single player can win a LAN without having S tier or atl A+ tier teammates. As such, I cannot punish Zen for having poor teammates. Now, if Zen cannot perform this year with Exo/MM, I would be very comfortable knocking him down a peg, but until then, Zen is still a top 3 player for me.
For reference, I think that either Zen or Dralii is the best player itw, but I wouldn't be offended if you said it was Beastmode.

2025.01.22 00:43 dbzcat How much is everyone actually making with this? Have you made an actual career with it?
I'm having a hell of a time getting sales, the only time I really can is during a renn faire and even then it's none of my big ticket items. I want to make this a career but I'm not making anywhere near a living wage. Granted I SUCK at marketing myself :/ I never realized making engaging posts and content online everyday was so hard lol

Hello everyone! This is my first posting, but I hope someone can help. I just got home from work and was so excited to receive my ring, but I found out it didn’t come with a charging cable. 😭 Has anyone else experienced this? I'm feeling really stressed and worried that my "new" ring, which I was really excited about, might be refurbished instead of brand new. I’m currently in my last semester of university studying mechanical engineering. I haven’t really enjoyed the course, mostly the experience. I’ve enjoyed the project modules, thermodynamics, materials and I’ve taken an interest in prosthetics and bio engineering. I had to retake my second year, which capped my retaken modules at 40%. I’ve just flopped my first semester and now I feel like it’s too late to do anything about it. My university is one of the lowest ranked, so I feel like to come out with a low grade, would make the whole experience pointless, who would hire me with a bad grade from a bad uni. On top of this, It’s hit me that I’ve got no work experience and I don’t even know what the industry is like, I really don’t know what to do or how to get myself out of this mess. It’s keeping me up at night. The past few months of so I’ve had a breakdown about it most nights, I feel lost don’t know what to do with my life. I feel like such a failure and I don’t want to let my family down, they think I’m a lot better than I am. I can’t bring myself to get up in a morning and my eating habits are horrible and I’ve stopped caring about the gym and working out. The stress and panic of graduating in three months and not knowing what to do or even if I’ll be able to get into the engineering industry is taking over my life. What would you do in this situation, would you look for last minute work experience, take a year out to gain experience, or just try and get a job with my possibly bad grade.

2025.01.22 00:43 ZombiemanJack GA is just a mess
Like others I've been facing accounts 2-4 mil gp over mine(6.2 gp). I have no GLs facing accounts usually with multiple. The only time I win is when they don't stop to think or just don't show up. I lost more than I won this last round and actually lost the last 2 of the 3 battles.
As my reward for losing the last GA I get shoved up to Bronzium 4. WT!? Is that how it goes? I'll have to lose up to Kyber 2 some day. Its a total joke what is going on with GA. I'll have to put utter trash in just to make teams or not have anything useful at all for offense(though how I'm going to win I don't have a clue). CG really has to fix this mode. It sucks too much of the fun out of this game and if it wasn't for the resources I wouldn't even touch it. I'm really seeing why some people just get their few points and bail.
