hi all, i have never been on this subreddit before but i wanted to make a post on here to hopefully feel less alone.
for years, i have struggled with dizziness when i stand up. i thought nothing of it for a long time. i was vegetarian for a year and a half in high school so i thought maybe going off meat caused me to be anemic. i started eating meat again but i still get dizzy whenever i stand, especially if i stand up too fast.
last week, i noticed the dizziness wasn't going away when i stood up. the next thing i knew, i was on the floor being asked if i was okay. i probably should have gone to the doctor but i was pretty dehydrated that day so i thought it was just that. on top of that, i wasn't home. i was across the country visiting family before going back to college and i just didn't know if i needed to see someone about it.
i started looking into POTS and realized i had a lot of the symptoms that i saw people online talking about. symptoms i always thought were normal and happened to everyone. ie: ringing in ears, constantly switching leg positions while sitting, cold hands and feet, sweating at night in my sleep, occasional chest pain, brain fog/short term memory loss, etc.
this morning when i was getting ready for class, i passed out on the bathroom floor. i was more conscious this time, but there was nothing i could do to stop myself from passing out. i couldn't even grab onto the sink.
i went to the health center on my college campus and they took my blood pressure laying down, sitting up and standing. i don't remember the numbers, but my blood pressure was pretty low. i also hadn't eaten much or hydrated enough so it could have been that i guess. the doctor asked if i've ever been evaluated for POTS and i said no but i told her what my symptoms were. she thinks i might have it. i am going back to get bloodwork done tomorrow when i am hydrated and i think that might tell if i have it.
i'm so sorry this post is so long and i appreciate anyone who is still reading. is there anything i should do, know or look out for? besides going to class, i have been taking things pretty easy since passing out. i hit my head but it hasn't hurt in hours. the doctors tested to see if i had a concussion but i am clear. if it turns out i do have POTS, will i be okay? i hope that doesn't sound like a stupid question, i'm just wondering if people who have it can say that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

So when I was 18 I got a b12 test and it was 150 pmol/l and did nothing about it (dumb I know)
But recently at 23 I did another one and it was 184 pmol/l
In order to get my b12 up I am taking 500mcg of b12 a day, is this enough to get me levels back up ?
Any recommendations?
