Why would you sit through a boring speech with hundreds of cameras on you?
It's not "just because I got an invite" I bet.
They are sending a message. A loud message.
But not to us.
Part of this message is that we are irrelevant. But a very very minor part.
The audience for their message are their shareholders, stock market, competitors and foreign regulators.
"See! We have a President in our Pocket! We aren't bound by regulations, we make the regulations! How many CEO's can claim that!? Buy our Stocks! Buy! Buy!"
"See! We aren't worried about our lives, we have literally have the Police AND the largest Military AND the best Intelligence agencies in our pocket! Think about that before you take us on!"
Moral of the Story. They think they are secure from everything we think or do, but are bound hand and foot to what their shareholders think.
Changing what their shareholders think might be more useful than trying to change what anyone in that room thinks.
Can anyone propose a better reason why would the megarich sat through a boring speech with hundreds of cameras on them?

2025.01.22 04:26 Icy_Speaker_9680 How do I handle annoying chatter who isn’t breaking the rules?
What do you do when one chatter is not breaking the rules but doing things which are off and I don’t like.
This is a long time follower from years ago so I feel a loyalty to them but I don’t know how to handle this situation.
They have been overstepping the whole stream today. But it doesn’t break my chat rules and I don’t know if I’m over reacting. Here are some examples of that they have done today
- answering questions on my behalf eg. “She thinks […]”, “she doesn’t like […]”, “she’s from [my location]”
- acting like a mod and telling people the rules when they’re not a mod
- time police for example saying it’s time to swap games and telling me it’s getting late so I should end the stream.
- minor backseating, not realise they’re doing it and then telling off others for backseating
- telling off others in the chat when they are not a mod
- arguing back when I said I’m uncomfortable with something in the game. (Game contained a sensitive topic and I said they should be more careful with topics like that. But this person said it’s from an old folklore so I should be ok with it)

as said in the title, what are some financing flight school (0 to time building for ATP) options for an 18 year old, min wage job, with virtually nothing to put up front? flight school is seeming incredibly daunting pretty much only because of the cost for me, and if cost wasn’t a factor i’d probably be on my way to my local flight school immedietly lol. what are some options for financing flight school for somebody in this position?

2025.01.22 04:26 noahtroduction Hone Your Pokemon TCG Competitive Mechanics Using the New Mew Deck
Hey all, I'm Cloudknife returning with more strategy discussion for the new season of Pokemon TCG. I'm a F2P player, so although I've gotten pretty lucky with my draws, all of these decks are possible if you're opening your 2 packs every day.
Today I'm talking about this fairly typical Mew deck because of the extremely interesting gameplay required to play it. This deck excels at agile hit & run plays and stall tactics that require thinking one or two turns ahead. These are the tactics you want to fully understand when you're playing from a disadvantage competitively regardless of what deck you play.

Although this deck is not the most dominant deck to play competitively, playing this deck has strengthened my overall gameplay and strategy in ways that I was able to apply in my other, more superior, decks. I'll be using this deck as a vehicle for discussing Pokemon TCG tactics and tricks that you can use to finesse a victory from unfortunate and uncertain situations. To do this I'll highlight the pokemon that best exemplifies the tactic, what pokemon they counter, and how to maximize that strategy for victory.
#1. Floette: This is the MVP in the deck. Yes Florges is better in every way but the reason Floette is the MVP is because of the unique amount of power she brings to the early and mid-game. Most opponents underestimate her, but a 1-energy 40 damage attack PLUS a heal means she puts immediate pressure on any of the common tank openers, more specifically safely chewing through Drudigon, Wheezing, and any other meaty Damage-Over-Time pokemon types. Requiring 1 energy also means you can skip investing on turn 1 even if you opened with Flabeb, allowing you to divert an early crucial energy to Mew for lategame.
Aggression: Floette is a great pokemon to practice Early Aggression, you can fearlessly drop the Flabeb as an opener, roll into Floette, and take early hits knowing that you'll heal them back, winning most trades vs other openers. Remember, evolving your pokemon heals Status Effects, so this is another opportunity to maintain aggression by evolving through all your opponents poisons, sleeps, etc and get a big counter-hit as your reward along the way. Play the Flabeb, believe in your Flabeb.
Elgyem / Beheeyem: This pokemon is also deceptively strong, which is why this deck is so sneaky. Lacking the huge-hitters of other decks means you need to play mind-games for your pokemon to reach their full potential. For 1-energy you can get a maximum of 70 damage against your opponents full-bench, making these guys excellent foot soldiers for supporting your Mew + Florges plays, with the combined damage of Florges + Elgyem totalling 150 ( 80 + 70 ), you can set up a combo kill vs nearly all equivalent matchups.
Mind-Games: Practice tactics that ambush your opponent and subvert their expectations. Withhold your Elgyem on turn 1 and try to lull your opponent to carelessly fill their bench. Alternatively, if they refuse to fill their bench, you can play all your Elgyems aggressively to intimidate them into holding-back until pulling a massive handsize of 5+, then cut their hubris down with a Red Card. Most Red Cards on 4+ hands are worth but you can strike most viciously when you notice they are reacting to your Elgyems. We're a deck of small hitters, so we need to bully our opponent into a corner with every method at our disposal.
Mew: At first I didn't like using Mew, because Mew is not at all like Machamp. Instead of dominating your opponent with big numbers, Mew uses hit & run tactics to dart in and out of the active slot, pecking at your opponent and occasionally landing a huge hit, mostly dependent on a case-by-case basis for every matchup. Mew helps you dominate and counter many of the meta-decks game-winners such as Charizard EX, Gyrados EX, Celebi EX, but specifically NOT Pikachu EX, which requires Electric types on your bench (this was a painful lesson learned). Make sure you read the abilities of your matchups thoroughly before committing to a Mew Genome Hacking, many abilities will mention a specific energy type to function, and Genome Hacking allows the use of an opponents attack without requiring that energy, but will not benefit from the text effects that depend on that energy, which is confusing because while casting it will display the energy of the attack the opponent uses.
Stalling / Hit & Run: Mew, just like the rest of your deck, has a retreat cost of 1, so you can afford to play them into your active slot to buy time for your ambushes. Florges healing also allows you to maximize Mew value by taking hits and healing back later. Knowing when to retreat and when to boldly face-tank damage is a difficult call, sometimes your fear can cause you to retreat too early in a move that might otherwise win the game later on. That's why Mew is great for practicing this strategy, their health pool is big enough to let you get away with tanking a shot or two, but not as huge that you can afford to throw it away carelessly.
One Step Ahead: For this deck you always want to be thinking about your next turn. Many big-hitters are single-mindedly focused on pumping their Charizard and then pushing the big Doink button 3 times to victory, but we're playing a cerebral deck and need to be playing 5D chess at all times to beat the Giant. All of your pokemon pose different threats at different energy levels, which you can use to keep uninformed opponents guessing what your next move is.
A 0-energy benched Elgyem can become a fully powered Beheeyem in a single turn, allowing for a truly surprising ambush of up to 70 damage if your opponent doesn't know what they do.
A 1-energy benched Floette can become a fully powered Florges in a single turn, for a similarly surprising 80 damage/20 heal ambush.
A 2-energy benched Mew means your opponent cannot go all-in guns-blazing without Mew returning the same.
Use these breakpoints as guidelines to help you start to think ahead, and from there you will begin to extend your foresight farther and farther into the future. Your only limit is your cognition, young psychic.
Spend your Beheeyems chipping away and dying to their big fighters, even sacrifice Florges if you must, keep your Mew alive over anything else 95% of the time. Push your mew to the edge and then pull them back using your Budding Expeditioner. Your ideal scenario is to have a 2-energy Mew on your bench ready to counter by late game, while your Beheyeems' and Florges' are sniping their frontline and sustaining through hit&run + healing to force out their big-guns. Once they pounce with their Charizard to kill your 1-point Beheyeem, bring out the Mew and kill their entire strategy by using their own big attack against them.
Although these strategies are the bread & butter of this deck, by playing through and understanding them you can get a much better grasp on where these strategies prevail and where they do not in general. You can better recognize similar situations when they come up during your battles using other decks. For example: my Machamp may not have the agility to retreat every other turn, but when the single uncommon opportunity arises where you're unsure if retreat will help or hurt your odds, you want to know what situations that works best and when it does not. A lot of times the call can be a gamble and there isn't a lot you can do to change that, but what you can do is understand what choices BEST increase your odds of winning and then go for the daring play.

Bem, não sei como começar isso mas vamos dizer que é um desabafo da madrugada pós um dia ruim e cansativo
Bem, estou com os meus 20 anos e atualmente eu sou um entregador de uma Farmácia e recebo relativamente bem(praticamente 2 mil) e honestamente, eu não sei se isso realmente é bom, já que várias pessoas a minha volta dizem para eu fazer isso e aquilo, estudar, buscar minhas metas, bater meus objetivos e viver, mas sinceramente, eu nem ao menos sei oque eu realmente quero da vida, a cada dia que passa eu estou sentindo que tem mais pressão sobre mim por não saber oque fazer
Outro dia mesmo teve uma conversa entre colegas e ele falou que estava cansado e não queria mais ser entregador, dizendo "Estou cansado de ser entregador, me sinto mal por está na rua tomando chuva e sol para entregar coisas para os outros, ano que vem quero me ver longe daqui e com algo melhor". E honestamente eu me sentir destruido e desamparado, porque eu não sabia oque eu quero ou deixar de fazer
Sei que posso está parecendo um pouco infantil e pensando muito a frente sendo que deveria está pensando no presente, mas eu estou realmente com medo do q me aguarda pela frente, pois já tenho 20 anos mas não possuo nenhum objetivo e mentalidade
Chega momentos onde eu penso "Acho que tudo se resolveria se eu fosse dormir e nunca mais acordasse". Não sei se estou falando isso por meu aniversário está tão próximo ou por tá me sentindo mais merda que o normal, se fui egoísta e uma má pessoa, peço perdão .
