many folks here say they struggle to qualify for 3x the rent and end up spending all their cash in motels, or they end up in really bad neighborhoods.
the law: Senate Bill 23-184, also known as the Protections for Residential Tenants Act, limits the gross monthly income that landlords can require from tenants to twice the monthly rent. The bill took effect in Colorado on August 7, 2023.
Meaning, if you apply to an apartment costing $800, you only need to show gross income of $1600/month.
another thing i found was they also allow tenants to have reusable screening reports. if you provide these to a landlord they can't charge u an application fee according to the law. there are some requirements but the reports look to be about $30-50 and u can get them online. article about them

Hello everyone, I am having issues with my H9 Flow and Kraken Elite 360 RGB 2024. After much research I have decided to side mount my Kraken Elite 360 RGB 2024. In the H9 Flow instructions it wants me to put the side mounting panel between the radiator and the fans, yet when I attempt to do this the radiator doesn't sit flush or even clear the opening on the side mounting panel. I am not sure if in my n00bness I missed something, the instructions on the H9 flow are out of date, or if NZXT didn't check to see if their 2024 AIO would clear the H9 Flow. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

2025.01.22 01:17 JustAnotherRando2325 I feel so lonely
I wanna start this off by saying that I don’t hate my friends, especially the ones I mention in this post. It’s just the jealousy.
I (20F) am so tired of being so freaking lonely. All my friends that I hang out with the most are in romantic relationships and I’m just sitting here being the 3rd, 5th, and 7th wheels. I’m tired of it. I’ve tried being social and even hopping on different dating apps but I’ve had zero luck. When I talk with my friends they’re always saying things like “You seem fine doing stuff by yourself!” Of course it seems like that. It’s been that way for years for me. I lost all my friends when I started high school and struggled to make new ones because I was (and still am) pretty nerdy and not conventionally attractive. I was used in high school for better grades and dropped when they didn’t need help anymore. I’ve had to do so many things on my own. I had to go through emotional events by myself without anyone to console me or just simply be there. I also hate so much when my friends say stuff like “when you get your boyfriend we can _” or “when you get a boyfriend you can _” cause I feel so left out. I feel bad telling them to stop saying these things cause I feel like I’m never going to find anyone. I know that sounds overly dramatic, especially since I’m only 20 and in college, but in this world and witnessing some of the people in my generation, I don’t truly think I will. I also get so sad when we’re in a voice chat and they (my 3 close friends) leave to go chat with their significant others while we’re playing a game. I feel so mean for saying this cause I want them to be happy and I’m glad they are but I’m just so incredibly jealous.
I try to be independent and find myself, like everyone says to when you’re not in a relationship and not happy by yourself, but I just want someone to love me and wanna do things with me even if it’s just watching a movie or something of those sorts. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I can’t stop feeling lonely no matter what I do.
Sorry for the rambling. I didn’t know how to phrase this and just wanted to get it off my chest.

Hi all! My partner and I are going to marry this June and plan to have a private ceremony with just our family. We ideally wanted to do a city hall wedding in NYC (we're currently in Queens), but there is a limit of 4 guests and we have 5 total. From what I've read about, heard about, and called directly about, that is a hard limit after COVID!
My question is, do y'all know if there is any current guest/attendee limit for a city hall wedding on Long Island? Town of Hempstead and NYS website does not list or mention any limit like NYC's website, so I was curious if anyone had any information or anecdotes to share! I also plan on calling tomorrow morning to confirm (currently closed at the time of this post but moving fast with planning), but wanted to throw the question out there for anyone who knew.
