Every single cutaway outside of or near the hospital, the first thirty seconds of the scene always start with the sound of a police siren. I’ve noticed this in every single episode in s5, and once I noticed it has bugged me. Maybe it’s because I’ve never lived in NY. But there is not a siren going off in every single neighbourhood at the same time.
Just something I’ve noticed.

hey, ive been struggling a lot with my anxiety around playing in front of people. ive been playing for about a year and a half now and im pretty decent. i keep getting band invitations and having to turn them down due to my intense fear of playing in front of people. i know im more than capable, and so many bassists are worse than me but are playing in bands. i really dont know how to get over this hump in my progress. how on earth do i just stop being scared? are there baby steps or do i just jump into the deep end?

I'm keen to hear from others who use Windy as their source of weather forecasts for the South Island. Specifically, which of the models do you usually find to be the most accurate?
There's often quite a bit of variation between them so I generally tend to use the approach of taking the rough average of the five different models (e.g. if they all say rain, it'll probably rain but if only one model says rain it probably won't rain. If the temperatures range from 10 to 20 then I expect 15 (or a little above)).
If I had to go by one individual model then, personally, I would probably lean towards Meteoblue (for Canterbury High Country anyway) as I feel this "most often" has been right - but I'm keen to hear others experience.

I currently have a Sculpfun S10 and am so impressed with the detail and super thin kerf. Of course, cutting speed on 3mm baltic birch can take 4 passes to get 100% cut through. Looking at a Sculpfun SF-A9 40w. The review videos show a pretty broad kerf line at the 40w setting. Is that typical with 40w diode machines?

 | Basically, refreshing the voting screen gives you different people showing up. I thought it would be interesting to see the receptions that any of these groups would get. Now I tried to reset until I could get completely unique groups. And surprisingly, it was actually quite difficult. I’m sure there’s a few people I’m missing, but it took me a very long time to get completely distinct squads of four and adhere to the Top 2 Girls/Boys formula for CYL. The exception is Arval showing up twice. I did this on purpose since Arval is ultimately genderless. Each group they are in, they represent the second of the underrepresented gender within the group. If Arval were to win a CYL, I’m not sure how IS would group them. Most likely, I assume they’d go straight by total vote counts, and Arval bumps off whichever girl/boy has the least amount. For those not in the know, Overwatch's Quick Play early in it's release used to not have a Hero limit. Then, that mechanic was changed and then moved to a separate mode.
Can you imagine if Marvel Rivals had that same mode? Yeah, it'll be unbalanced as hell, arguably broken, but it also means a lot of fun and chaotic strategies.
6 Lokis, all dropping 2 clones, for a total of 18. 36 if both teams do it.
6 Luna Snows ulting back to back, only to be countered by 6 Iron Man ults.
2 Rocket, 2 Winter Soldiers, 2 Punishers for terrifying damage.
If not a permanent fixture, I'd love to see it added as a seasonal mode.

Hello everyone,
I’m not typically active in religious debate circles, but I was using Reddit's search function to explore a specific topic when I stumbled upon the "Academic Qur'an" sub. I was hoping to find an intellectually stimulating environment that would bring together various competing academic perspectives from the likes of Al-Azhar, Oxford etc. I imagined it would be a fascinating exchange of ideas.
However, upon closer inspection, it became clear that the sub is explicitly focused on promoting the perspectives of secular Western academic viewpoints. It felt more like a platform to promote a particular narrative rather than a space for genuine intellectual discourse. Many comments also seemed to be deleted by the moderators if they didn’t align with this perspective, which made me feel as though they were trying to suppress any views that countered the narrative they were promoting.
Given this, it seems more appropriate for the sub to be called "Western secular Qur'anic studies" rather than "Academic Qur'an," as it excludes a whole branch of scholarship that isn’t grounded in secularism. The term "academic" isn’t synonymous with "secular".
Then I came across a post comparing the preservation of the Bible and the Qur'an (a topic that, frankly, doesn’t even require a Muslim perspective to recognize the stark contrasts, as even secular academics acknowledge it). However, one of the moderators, who appears to be very active in the sub, responded in a way that seemed more in line with Christian apologetics than objective scholarship. His responses seemed odd and evasive, as if he was trying to downplay it.
Coincidentally, I did a quick Reddit search for "academic Qur'an Christian apologist" and ended up in this thread, surprise, surprise :O :O

It turns out the mod who's trying to enforce a secular narrative on Qur'anic scholarship is actually a Christian apologist himself lol. He believes that a man died on the cross and was resurrected three days later because he was either God or the Son of God. Too "secular" for my taste lol.
Exchanging your vestments for a shirt and tie after calling the Prophet of Islam "filthy dog" certainly doesn’t seem to be the most "fair" approach here. :D. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is a duck
