2025.01.22 04:35 DoNotEatMySoup I'm pretty new and I keep getting obliterated when I try to PvP, please help
For reference I have 20 hours of playtime: I have a level 35 wizard and a level 30 fighter right now.
I can consistently fight the PvE mobs in the game and extract with a few purples and blues, if I choose to. I have been spending extra time in lobbies trying to find people and practice my PvP skills, so that when I am just going for loot I don't have to be terrified of other players. I keep getting clapped, which I expected, I just want some feedback so I can get better.
When I play wizard I feel like I can't run fast enough to kite people, and they don't respect my spells when I take a stand and just shoot shit at them. It seems they don't have to respect them either because even as I spam zap, ice bolt, fireball, and slow, they (barbarians, warlocks, and fighters) are able to just walk through all my magic and beat me to death. I have read the wizard guide which is a top post on this subreddit. I have heard solo wizard just blows right now, if anyone can confirm/deny please let me know.
On my fighter, I feel like I'm too slow to ever catch up to the casters, even when activating sprint. I had a warlock literally kite me to death and whenever I did start getting close he would just hit phantomize and it basically gives him 6 seconds to escape for free.
Warlocks are really the death of me though. I keep getting obliterated by them. It seems that whether I space them or rush them, they have an answer to it, AND they heal a lot with their spells. Any tips are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Thinking of getting a Lenovo Ideapad. The price of all 3 is pretty much the same, AMD is a lil bit cheaper. I've read that U could be slower but H and HS have an overheating and fan noise problem, but I'm assuming that's for gamers? I don't need this for gaming, or video editing, heavy software, etc.
Just need it to be fast, have multiple tabs open and switch with ease, support a bunch of streaming, occasionally download movies, writing, Scrivener, etc.
Also, for people who've had the ideapad/flex for a while, can I expect speed/ performance to last 5-6 years?

Hello all! I’m just a couple of weeks into the game, but I must say it has been a breath of fresh air. My gaming crew and I have been playing a lot of more “arcade style” FPS games for the last couple of years (Darktide, Space Marine 2, Hellldivers). I had seen the HLL clips online and picked it up on a whim since it was on sale at Steam.
My goodness, so much fun! I spent the first session just running with everyone else and dying a lot. I watched a few Soul Sniper videos and in one he suggested that new players always try to find a squad with an actual Officer, and if nobody is talking on mics, hop out and try a different one. Some of the most fun matches I’ve had are with an “experienced” squad leader and four others who are actually chatting, pinging enemies, and trying to do some flanking, double dropping supplies, and getting a good network of Garries.
The veteran players that are willing to take us newbies under your wings, drop a few pointers, and play the game it appears it is supposed to be played are really what has made HLL a mild obsession for me over the last couple of weeks.
Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for all the patience!

Everyone else in the show is (somewhat) realistic. But between having a theesome with her mom to make a baby just to find out vee is having tripplets (even tho they ended up with twins) and everything with the illegal immigrant russian hand whore Svetlana I don't see really happening. Not to mention them fostering Ethel which was weird in its self. Oh and don't forget kev ended up being inbred or that they had the young twins pretend to be one person so they could go to a fancy school. I know im forgetting a lot of other strange things. love the characters but I feel like they are a completely different show.

I stop playing the game for the day whenever I have to play against a team that has the Call of Duty cast on it (Winter Soldier, The Punisher, and Star-Lord), all at the same time. Everyone talks about people like Hawkeye and Hela, but to me these people are the definition of "don't bring a knife to a gun fight". Pull out a machine gun, shoot in a general direction, hit 8 out of 100 bullets fired, and the galaxy's greatest super heroes are dead.
This character combo is making me put this game down more and more, it's unenjoyable to play against. It goes from having fun playing against skilled people, to Saving Private Ryan where all you can do is hide behind pillars and rocks hoping someone is going to get to them (they aren't). Hey man, all I have is a portal that takes me 5 minutes to open, I'm not a Call of Duty character lol.

I'm a 20 y/o currently laid off from doing underground pipelines with the laborer's union (185), and I'm looking for a change to something more technical, with more upward mobility, higher earnings, and a stronger union. I've been on the IBEW apprenticeship waitlist for about 8mo now and haven't gotten a test date; I passed the UA 447 aptitude test several months ago, but this only grants you access to their list of sponsors (which I've had zero luck with).
Are there any training programs outside of unions that are accepting people? Other than the ABC, I'm not a scab and don't want to be blacklisted. I fully plan on joining working for the union, but I need something to boost my resume or get my foot in the door.
