2025.01.22 04:36 UnfoldedHeart The significance of the "pilot" in Incident Two
This was always interesting to me. LRH claimed that Incident Two ended with a picture of a pilot telling the thetan that he's just "mocking it up." I always thought it was interesting that it was specifically a pilot saying this.
In the Scientology cosmology, at this point, the thetan has been nuked, captured, and implanted with the R6 implant. It would seem that the person to introduce this idea would be... well, not a pilot. A pilot flies a plane. At this point in the story, you're done flying in a plane. You're just a recently-brainwashed disembodied spirit.
I can't recall LRH speaking badly of pilots elsewhere. In fact, he seemed to really like military-type guys and regularly used metaphors involving steering a boat or flying a plane.
I assume it's because a pilot is "at the controls" and this particular pilot is at the metaphorical controls of a thetan. But I don't know, I'm open to speculation. Just a really interesting subject to me.

This happened to me in the worst way. I have been trying to complete the shiny dex, and only have Pokemon Violet, therefore I need to trade to get shiny paradox Pokemon, etc. I was looking for a shiny Roaring Moon for a while and when I found one I didn't have miraidon in Pokemon home to trade it and I was on holiday so couldn't access the Nintendo to to trade. Fast forward a few months now I saw that Roaring Moon was available for trade with a Gengar level 91-100. After scanning through I didn't have one, so I traded my Miraidon for one and then Pokemon Home said I didn't have the Pokemon my partner wanted. Although I checked for the level, gender, games it can travel to and more. I don't understand how it works and now I've lost my only box Miraidon

2025.01.22 04:36 Herbie53101 So…I’ve been writing a thing for the last week or so and didn’t realize how long it’s gotten.
I’ve been writing on my phone and got to 20 chapters of it, and the scrolling was starting to get annoying, so it moved it to a word document. This thing is 58 pages long at 40,117 words. I don’t know that I’m ever even going to put this somewhere, I probably won’t, but I really didn’t think it was that long already. It’s nowhere near done either.

2025.01.22 04:36 CuriosTiger Apple is replacing my Mac Studio over a screw
My M1 Mac Studio started having HDMI glitches. Apple examined it, ordered a new motherboard for it and told me I could pick it up in a few days.
This morning, they called to let me know they had stripped a screw while taking my Mac apart, and this apparently renders it unrepairable. So they're ordering a brand new replacement for me, supposedly with the exact same specs.
I guess that's good news for me, because now I get a brand new machine that nobody has used or taken apart. It does seem really wasteful to throw away the entire old computer over a screw, although I guess the logic boards are now so integrated that most of that e-waste would've happened anyway with the logic board replacement. But I'm surprised that they can order a replacement logic board, but not a replacement housing? (The Apple tech told me the stripped screw means they deem the computer unrepairable.)
No real question here, I was just a little shocked at an entire Mac Studio being scrapped over a screw.

I posted in here a few days ago asking about the hamradioprep app and how accurate it was compared to the test. A lot of you commented and some even wanted an update. I could not find the original post. I don’t know if i accidentally deleted it or what but i passed the test! I took it this evening and passed it 34/35! Hamradioprep was an amazing tool to help me study! It was 100% accurate to the test as well! I 10/10 recommend. I used the paid version so I’m not sure about the free version. But paid version was great! Thank yall!!
