I stopped believing in the epic surprise you promised me over two years ago.
I had this daydream that you'd arrive on a sunny morning with me in the garden, tending roses or the vegetable patch. That I'd look up and an unfamiliar body would be standing up the hill, tentatively watching. A face I wouldn't be able to make out because my glasses don't go that far.
But I'd know the shape of you. I've imagined the electric shock that would root me in place, the racing heart I'd feel, realizing that you were finally here, and all my daydreams had come alive.
And then I'd run to you, and Ziggy would be barking and zooming like the derp he is, unbothered but excited, and you'd throw your arms around me, and I'd cling to you like a crucifix.
That daydream just won't happen now. I'm leaving this place behind. Not heading out on the road, or anything. Just going to a cozy place on the edge of the forest. A place that will be mine, and free of the poisonous fumes that lingered here. A fresh start.
But for some reason, the unlikelihood of you ever coming back to me is hitting me pretty hard right now. You'd have done it by now, if you were. I'd like to be proven wrong, about this. I deserve to hear the truth.
We make our own luck, and I'm trying really hard to play the ace up my sleeve. And I believe in myself and what I want, so even before you took my daydreams and weaponized them against me, I felt there was some truth in what I was envisioning. So he will be mine, and I will be his. That I believe. We won't be perfect, but we'll be perfect for each other and treat each other with the tenderness we've always desired. To be alone with him. To be in love with him.
Yet I can't help but wonder, will I ever see you again? Maybe if you wake up from this bad dream. So please wake yourself up. I'm tired of facing the dawn alone.

2025.01.22 04:34 Afraid-Penalty-757 It would be cool to have a comic series about the Rise of Zhao within the Fire Nation Military ending with him getting the rank of Commander in which we see him at the beginning of the original series?
So I was cleaning my room for this week in which I stumble across my comics where I pick up and read both the Rise of Atriox comics from the Halo Franchise and the Rise of Raam from Gears of War? both comic runs were excellent I highly recommend them as they tell the rise of one of their respective villains from their franchises?
This got me thinking what if the Avatar comics had it's own Rise of ''Villain rise.'' comic Now don't give me wrong I would love a Iroh backstory comic but I'm thinking something more the Rise and Prominence of Zhao as well as his career. Granted maybe Ozai POV could be a good choice but to be honest I think he works best in a novel form then comic format?
Now don't give me wrong Zhao is maybe not anyone favourite (Some fans like Zhao but still.) or at least the brightest at least compared him to Ozai and Azula or even the Villains from Korra. But still It would be nice to know more about his rise within the Fire Nation as it would probably give us the full or look of the inter-workings of both the Fire Nation Military and definitively the navy sides of the War?
If we take the format of The Rise of Raam and Rise of Atriox then maybe it would be a four or five part comic series about well the Rise of Zhao within the Fire Nation Military. From either his last days of training under Jeong Jeong or more interesting when he enlisted the military either passing the officer exams, in his class or what? Then we could get to see how Zhao's career begin to rise up especially getting to see the different commanders he was under whether they were incompetent or not?
We know in the original series that he went to Wan Shi Tong's Library when he was lieutenant under General Shu. I would love to learn more about that especially as to how he did discovered the library granted we know he destroy the fire nation wing of the library but it would be nice to see in this comic series. Once he was promoted to Captain then maybe we get to see POV of the Agni Kai where he witnessed Ozai scarring his own Zuko. It would be nice to know why he hates Zuko so much. Speaking about Ozai it would be great to know more about the relationship between him and Zhao I always assumed it was either similar to Palpatine and Tarkin's relationship essentially a kindred spirit or more likely Zhao as a useful pawn for his own ends.
Regardless If there is one thing that worth fleshing out that is the Navy Battle with the Earth Kingdom Navy which resulted in him rise above the rank from Captain to Commander this information comes from the old Nickelodeon website:

Having this noodle incident expanded as likely the final issue of the series would cool to see as well as not only ending with him getting the rank of Commander leading him being send to Ketu Harbor as his new post leading to when we meet him in Episode 3 of Book 1 from the original series?

Could it just be the brakes and rotors? I can slow down but once i push them more than half way it starts to vibrate a good bit. ABS light doesn’t come on and brake fluids are good. 2023 Kia K5.

Our status: We recently (end of 2024 Oct) filed my H1B extension, my wife's H4 COS and H4EAD application together. My H1b extension approved in ~ 5 days and my wife's cases took 2 months with congresswomen's office help.
Problem: My wife's H4 status (on her I797A) and EAD expires on my previous H1B expire date, which is March 31st 2025. Based on the EAD auto extension rule, we want to file an extension of H4EAD after she got a new H4 I94 that expires with my new H1B expire date which is March 2028. We want to see if there are options to avoid / minimize the gap. Appreciate any suggestions and thank you this great community in advance!
We have searched online and found a few options:
- File I539 and I765 together. This is what the attorneys will do and according to current USCIS timeline, 80% of cases are finished in 2.5 ~ 3 months. Our attorneys are ready to file. The concern is the current timelines might have a lot of cases that concurrently filed with H1B COS / EOS? I am concerned that since the settlement has expired, the actual expectation of this will be 4~6 months.
- Pedwest / Pedeast at San Diego Boarder. This option has been discussed at different sources, but mostly for I94 update due to expiring passport and it updates I94 with the new passport to match I797 date. However, I have seen discussions, and know successful cases in-person, that they also match the H4 I94 to H1B I797A date. However, we are still waiting for our new passports (expect in about 3 ~ 4 weeks) for this. The concern is, she was previously on F1 visa (still valid) and my H1b has expired, and I've heard that some officers here are not familiar with AVR. Should I call / visit CBP building before going to the border?
- Get a new H4 Visa. We would expect this to solve the problem as long as she can re-enter before end of March. The visa appointment is available and booked. The concern is obviously administrative processing / check. She has B1/B2 and F1 approved without many questions in the past.

Hi my name is Matt Im from Europe. I like playing guitar and videogames ( Overwatch, left4dead, Warframe) and some others. Im making this post as a way to find more people since i havent had much luck so i thought if i told a bit more about myself more people would be interested. So, im currently working for an IT company mostly in the part of Cyber-security but i am on a 2 week vacation at the moment so i thought "why dont i try to make some friends online". I like talking a lot either it be messages or call , although i prefer to call if possible .
I like learning about people and really getting to know them ( their hobbies, things they like , movies, funny stories etc..) . For now Im free pretty much 24/7 so you don't have to worry about me taking like 30 mins between each message. Im not really shy or insecure, quite the opposite Im very chatty and energetic. Ive also been told Im a good listener so if you ever need to vent about something or just talk about whatever when you're feeling less hot feel free to do so.
I don't have any expectations whatsoever of the possible relationship we might have . Basically it means Im neither looking for a long term or short term relationship. I also have a good sense of humour and like to make jokes on the spot ( if the situation is appropriate of course ... duh) . sigh I miss having a healthy relationship with food. I miss thinking foods smell or sound good, and I miss enjoying eating and drinking. I, like many of you, just find myself avoiding food and water a lot of the time just because I don’t want to throw it up later or I don’t want that feeling of it sitting so uncomfortably in my stomach. I’m doing my best to find foods that are hard to throw up so I keep some nutrition in me and my OB has stressed eating a lot more high calorie or high fat foods to gain more weight but it is a struggle.
My question is specifically for those after birth with HG. How long did it take for your relationship with food to return to normal? Was it immediate or did it take awhile? And if so, how long?

I've tried them at Old Townhouse in OB but they weren't very crispy.
Who else does those thin crispy round waffles with the tiny square holes?
