2025.01.22 04:15 weirdfishesapp Game won’t load on Valve Index
I loved beat saber so much played it a ton but for some reason as of late my pc has been having issues, one of them being that it won’t load the game period. When I load up steam and press play, my valve turns on and shows a short flash of the welcome screen (just the words beat saber appear) then it goes to a black screen as if it’s about to load up the game but it just never loads. I’m able to use the controllers to open the menu for the library in the valve and look at my other games or close the game and re open it from there, which I’ve tried, but still nothing.
Things I’ve tried :
I thought maybe it’s because the game was being shared with me through a friends library and those settings were changing for the new year, so I went ahead and bought the game myself but it still wouldn’t load.
I went into the session ha of the game to verify game files and all seems to be ok.
My valve is up to date on all parts, and I recently updated my drivers for my pc as well.
I looked the issue up and some people said if you have multiple monitors to turn one off so I did but nothing changed.
I also saw someone say to go into the advanced settings for the vr headset in the developer tab but none of that stuff changed anything for me either.
Please any help is appreciated! I try looking and I can’t find solutions anywhere!

Hello! I'm currently on Korean Air KE093 flying from ICN to IAD. It's going well so far but I keep having anxious thoughts. I've flown before with bad turbulence and although I know turbulence isn't dangerous to the plane, the unexpectedness keeps me on edge.
I'd appreciate any reassurance and tracking you guys can offer. I'd also love if anyone in the know can tell me if there might rough patches to be expected? Thank you so much!

I’m a newer hobby photographer, and currently using a Canon 6D mk1 as my daily driver, with a Canon 5Ds that I really only use for tripod work. Current lens lineup is a 24-70 4.0 L, 100-400 L, 1.4x and 2x teles, and a couple smaller knockabouts that I get out when it’s a dicey hike.
I’ve been looking at 600mm and 800mm lenses for bird photos and the used RF lenses in those focal lengths seem to be pretty reasonable. Also hopefully sharper than my 100-400 with the 2.0x. Since there’s no RF to EF adapter, and EF mounts are fading away, is now the time to make the switch?
TL/DR; I don’t know this market well enough to know how long I’ve got before EF lenses become VHS tapes. Switch to RF soon?

I am 22 years old man, i live in India Sikkim and i have a problem producing R sound. we here usually speak nepali and hindi and ofcourse English but I can't produce "र" (R). when i try to say horizons it becomes hodaizons, ghar becoms ghad, and so on.
its not so severe that I can't say R at all but it is subtle and completely noticable. it makes me nervous and i can't talk to girls and it makes me embarrassed.
i tried to produce R sound in different ways but I can't. Is there any solution for this or i have to live like this. i love talking and work with mass but this problem is resisting me.
please help me out. Any therapy to take? if i can cure then how much time would it take..

Our daughter is 2 years & 4months old. We haven't gotten a diagnosis for her yet but we've been working with her pediatrician and she is starting to show many of the signs so we're starting down the road on it.
Tonight, while she was eating dinner in her highchair, she started screaming and crying out of nowhere. Like the scream you definitely don't want to hear from your kids while you're sitting on the potty.
I came FLYING into the living room, expecting to see blood or a broken bone or SOMETHING. But no. She yelled, "is it THE FAN?!"
She had me turning it off, on, high, medium, low. Turning the light on, off. It didn't matter what I did. She was super uncomfortable and at first just kept side eyeing it, asking about it, and wouldn't leave my side. Then it turned into suspicion... And by the time it was bedtime, she wouldn't even walk through our living room. She would ask me to hug her and have me carry her past it. THEN she noticed my bedroom had a ceiling fan. It was also suspicious to her and she would only come into my room if I held her, and even then she was fully tucked into me and wouldn't look at it at all. I put her to bed a little while ago and now I'm hoping she doesn't notice the ceiling fan in HER room 😅
I'm googling things like "how to make ceiling fans less threatening" 😅😅😅 any tips? I'm so lost. No one ever told me this would be an obstacle and I definitely never thought I'd have to convince someone that our fan is friendly 😂 what do I dooooo. Help a girl out 😅😅🫠🫠

I have a 2009 Chevy Malibu LT V6 3.6L and I havent been able to drive the car in about 7 months. There's a parastic draw that drains the battery in minutes. The clicking had been happening for awhile before that but the parasitic draw happened out of no where. We had a mechanic tell us that the rollers on the rocker arms were the reason for the clicking but that doesnt explain the parasitic draw. He went under the car and moved stuff around and then told us the parasitic draw was gone. I have no idea what it is and am just trying to get an idea of what it could be and if the two are linked. Thank you in advance.
