I got into nails almost a year ago, and man, I have acquired far more polish than I would have thought possible in such a short amount of time. I've stopped biting my nails for the first time without relying on acrylics, which is a huge win for me seeing as I'm a sparkly 40 year old woman. I finally feel like I don't have man hands and I take a lot of pride in taking care of my nails.
All that to say, this has been a huge win for me.
And then here comes winter, and I am suddenly crusty and crunchy and I wanna scream. So it's time to up my nail care game. I've been using a Sally Hansen cuticle oil and whatever hand creme I've got laying around. The cuticle oil is doing almost nothing, and I'm having to put on the hand creme so often that I smell like a 90s bath and body works teen. It's just too much product and too much scent to get the payoff.
The goal is results of course, but if I can shop small businesses while getting them that's also a win for me.
I appreciate any help or guidance me and my very sparkly sadly crusty nails can get!

2025.01.22 04:43 Fragrant-Drawer-7828 I’m so confused on what I want and my thoughts are eating my life, and I manifested the confusion and oscillating mind set in my real life too. Need help please.
I was good honest guy who has never misbehaved with any women. When I liking this girl in my undergrad I decided to not to even glaze at other girls or watch porn. I was that loyal even though it was one side love. She rejected me and I was upset for years and eventually moved on.
Once she rejected I got into porn. And got busy in life with career, academics etc. at one point I decided never to get married as my career was unstable.
Then realized I need companionship, love and felt the void and decided to get married.
Recently a girl rejected me and upon analyzing I manifested the regret of not having enough casual sex before marriage. But universe gave me the exact girl with all the qualities I asked for. I was super shocked to the core. But she rejected me quoting my career plan and my regret that exhibited.
I cried for months for losing her.
I strongly believe and still believe once I get a wife and experience sex my regrets(of not having enough sex in 20s) will fly away. Because in the past when I cried for not getting my dream job, and eventually when I got a similar one I felt “how stupid I was to cry over that for years”.
I feel I have very high pent up sex energy. And it’s been 5+ months I watched porn.
Now, I’m back to square one. On one side I want to date and fulfill all my fantasies before getting married. On other side I just want to get married because I’m scared what if a good girl rejects me knowing about my past (I won’t hide my past to my future wife, but now slowly thinking telling every detail of my past is not good).
I’m still in confusion so not even sure what should I manifest. I realized I should either chose one and stick to it. But scared to jump in…..
Please advise and help me. If anyone had gone through similar path, share your journey.

2025.01.22 04:43 Interesting-Snow-381 Scheduling interviews while working full time?
I think I just need reassurance that I’m doing the right thing, since my anxiety is getting the better of me. After dealing with slow replies from the HR associate for the past 2.5 weeks with the company I’m applying at, I finally have a 2nd interview scheduled for tomorrow at 9am. I’m debating if I should call out, or try to take the call while I’m working from home. Tbh I haven’t called out once in the one year I’ve worked here, which makes me feel both entitled to ask for a day off, and nervous to bc it will look suspicious as I never ask for time off without it being preplanned.
When speaking with the HR person I asked for any time after 1pm as I could take the call during my lunch hour, but they were unable to accommodate, and we finally settled on tomorrow morning, but this was at 5:30pm, and it was too late to request a half day at my current job. And as most of my work is time sensitive and needs to be completed between 8am and 12pm, I’m concerned about being able to mentally prep for the call, and to either slip away unnoticed or make an excuse to leave for a moment during my busy time of the day.
I also don’t know if this will be my final interview, or if they could possibly call me in for an in person interview, or another virtual one after this. I recently had to take a few half days to have some legitimate dental work done, so I can’t use that as an excuse again, and I feel like asking for more time off now will start to look suspicious. How do I stop feeling so guilty about this?

Hey, everyone. I quit my job back in 2021, and have been doing a little freelance work since then. I earned more than £1000 in 2022/23, so registered for self assessment with HMRC and completed an SA return accordingly.
In 2023/24, I earned less than £1000, so when my SA return was due, I submitted it, selecting the option for "earned less than £1000". I did that (online) on 1st January 2025, and got confirmation that it had been received.
However, on the 9th January, I received a letter from HMRC saying that they have now deregistered me from SA, and that if I need to submit another return for 2024/25, I'll need to register again.
I don't understand - I didn't ask to deregister. I'm still self employed, I just earned less than £1000 that tax year. I've already exceeded that for 2024/25, and so I'm definitely going to be submitting a return.
I don't know if this is a mistake, or if there's some policy where HMRC will automatically deregister you if you submit a zero return. I've seen elsewhere online that if you earn less than £1000, you don't need to submit a return.
Would appreciate clarity on this, if anyone knows. I tried to get through to HMRC on webchat a few times, but each time, no one has been available.
