Hey friends, local Ohio resident here. I’m looking to treat my lady to a jersey shore vacation . She’s been obsessed with jersey shore the show for ever, and she has her heart set on visiting the area. I’m looking for a nice resort, or hotel that is ocean front/beach side place to stay. Looking to stay 6-10 days. Somewhere around $2,000 max for the stay. Looking for someplace nice and close to the things and stuff and all that. I don’t want some crazy motel that looks glamorous on paper. Trying to pamper the young lady.
If any locals have a recommendation on where to stay, even if it’s down the beach. A friend proposed that I stay in Atlantic City but that’s far and we aren’t looking for a casino.

I have two cats, one male one female both over a year old. The male cat poops maybe twice a day max but the female cat seems to be going every few hours, back to back sometimes, and especially going after i scoop which is daily and mutliple times after i deep clean the litterbox every sunday. I wasnt too worried since its not liquid, has white spots, no blood, and is a nice shape and she doesnt seem to be in pain when going but is it still a cause for concern? Honestly im tired of my living room and hallway smelling bad, i switched to a stainless steel litter box and even use a deordorizer but nothing seems to help, i fear that when i go out in public im bringing the smell with me. Its driving me insane, any help?

2025.01.22 05:13 Asleep_Word_7934 Can I legally return prescription controlled substances to the pharmacy if they are open and prescribed to someone else?

Throwaway here. My mom had prescription ketamine mailed to my address in CA while she was staying here. It seems to come from a real pharmacy. However, it was delayed and she had flown back home to Iowa prior to it arriving.
When it arrived, we weren't sure what it was, so I opened it (with her permission) and sent her a picture. She then suggested I mail it to her or bring it on a flight the next time I'm going to see her.
Based on some googling, it seems like both of those options are illegal. I cannot legally send prescription drugs through the mail or bring drugs prescribed to someone else on a plane. Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
My best option seems to be returning the drugs to the pharmacy that sent them and let her work out with them the next steps. However, I haven't been able to figure out if this is legal to do; especially since the envelope (and the sealed envelope inside) is opened at her request.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi - We are moving into a new house, and it has a Halo 5 H5-100 "Water Conditioner" system already installed. Our city water hardness will be around 15 gpg, from what I read online.
We are concerned about calcium buildup in our pipes, dishes, and other home surfaces. We have a old-fashioned potassium salt ion exchange water softener at our current house, where our 18 gpg treated water is down to 1 gpg. We love it, and we want something like it at our new house.
I am reading the specifications on the H5-100, where their primary water "conditioner" (whatever that means) is treated by the Halo H5-100's proprietary HALO ION 2.0 Plus that: uses multi-reversing polarity permanent magnetic fields to alter the molecular structure of positively and negatively charged ions of dissolved calcium and magnesium.
This sound like snake-oil psuedo-science marketing jargon and total B.S. to me. From what I understand about calcium and magnesium, they aren't magnetic and wouldn't be affected by magnetic fields. And, what are reversing polarity permanent magnetic fields? A permanent magnet doesn't change polarity, an AC-powered electromagnet does.
I suspect that the "HALO ION 2.0 Plus" doesn't actually do anything at all except efficiently remove money from your wallet.
Can anybody help?

Hey y’all. I haven’t been on a proper date in years. I was chatting with someone on a fb messenger. He wasn’t my type but I was trying to be less picky as my friend’s say I look for reasons to not date somebody. I was willing to give this guy a chance as he read my bio and had a nice approach. We ended up texting. He also called a couple of times cool. I wanted to watch the championship game and asked if he wanted to meet up at a bar to watch it. He agreed. I had an exhausting day because I barely slept. I told him I was taking a nap before we met up. I overslept but communicated that to him and apologized. I communicated my progress until I got there. He said no problem. He changed the venue to a place that was now 30mins away (closer to him) instead of the place that was 6 mins away because the kitchen closed. I considered this a casual meet up not sure if date is even appropriate.
Fast forward: I walked in. He didn’t stand up, shake my hand or anything. I gave that a pass because he was eating. I apologized in person for my tardiness and sat down and ordered a drink (on my own tab thank goodness). He was quiet. He was GLUED to his phone scrolling on Tik tok. He would not speak. I talk to strangers all the time no problem so I tried to have a conversation. I tried to ask about his day at work. “Good” was his response. When he did say things he said things that made me question his character. Bro didn’t bother wearing chapstick or anything either. He said he was tired (understandable) but I feel it was an excuse to leave. He left after maybe 10-15mins of unbearable silence. No wave, no head nod, nothing just said he was tired and that he was going to leave. No nice meeting you or get home safe. Safe to say we won’t ever communicate again. Is this really the dating climate? This “date” or whatever, was horrific and damn near my 13th reason.
