I work in a call center (ouuuh, surprise, lol that’s what this sub is all about) for a bank. Recently, they introduced a new metric: transfer. You’re probably wondering "What’s that?" It’s a measure designed to reduce the number of inter-department transfers, which directly impacts a percentage of our bonus…
When I first heard about it I was like, WTF? Let me give you a scenario: if we can assist a client, we obviously do. But if the issue/question/request is for another department, instead of transferring them we’re now expected to contact the department ourselves, get the information and give it to the client… All to avoid a transfer.
During the meeting explaining this, I couldn’t help but think: Who sat around a table and thought this was a good idea? I shared my thoughts with a colleague saying "this isn’t productive. Every department exists for a reason bc they’re specialists in their field.”
One colleague argued that the purpose of the metric is to test our adaptability. But I disagreed. I said "No, this is just a costsaving measure (for the bonus) and it’s not realistic. "If I don’t have expertise in X department, I’m just going to transfer the client, it’s the right thing to do.
Guest what? one of my colleagues said that to keep this metric low, he sometimes tells clients to hang up and call back thru the bank app bc it’s faster to reach the correct department that way. What?! If I were a client and someone told me to call back instead of transferring me, I’d lose it. And mind you, this isn’t a small bank… it’s a major one. sigh
What’s your take on these kinds of silly rules or metrics? How do you navigate them in your workplace?

Honestly it's surprising how smoothly that system tended to work (or did for me anyway, the several times I bought or sold). It feels like nowadays it would be an absolute clusterf**k.
"It's the day before the event and the tickets haven't arrived, seller said they shipped them Tuesday" or "Buyer says they never received them but Fedex showed they were delivered, Stubhub is charging me a penalty" and so on. Thank goodness for electronic paper trails.

I am going to do a 12 week max cycle on testostorone 400-500mg depending if side effects don’t get me first and i don’t call it quits. I will do a pct afterwards with hcg, enclo or any other drug for pct. I know i am stupid, but already wasted my money on test and ai, so why not just do a cycle and see how bad will it hurt me. Everyone who will say, you will fuck urself up, i don’t think il live till 25 anyways, so yeah. give me advices for pct and other stuff.  | I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, so I'm gonna go for it: What if Lisa is Mari's daughter? It feels very possible that Mari is the 8th survivor from the rescue clips. She has a very similar haircut and color. She's even walking right behind Lottie. Lottie and Mari are close. Well, Mari has always been up Lottie's ass. That would mean that Mari isn't pit girl, but there are obviously a couple others it could be. The 8th survivor seemingly isn't alive in the 2021 timeline. I think the girls have another hunt when they get back. PTSD does not allow you to back to normal after such trauma. They talk about how they haven't seen each other in years, but they never specify how long. It's kinda obvious that stayed close for a few years post-rescue, because Nat, Tai, and Van all talk about going to Shauna and Jeff's wedding. What if Mari had a kid post-rescue, before the hunt? Mari draws the queen, dies, leaving a daughter behind. Maybe she ended up in foster care or maybe her dad remarried. I think Lottie still feels responsible for Lisa because of this and keeps close tabs on her. She sees Lisa struggling, Lisa ends up in the cult/maybe was the reason Lottie's started it. Hi. I hope this isn't off topic. If so, hopefully someone can point in the right direction.
I'm working on a woodworking project and feel like a CNC router would be perfect for carving one of the parts. The workpiece would be approximately 10"x8"x2" (250x200x50mm.) I'm somewhat interested in buying a wood CNC but my budget wouldn't more than $500-$750 depending on what that gets me. I'm not sure I could get anything in that price range that wouldn't be a toy – low quality, small or both.
So instead, I'm trying to find a way to have the piece carved for me. Unless I'm just not searching for the right terms, Craigslist and OfferUp don't seem to have anyone offering those services locally. Does anyone here have tips for getting wood CNC milling/carving work done?
