So first off, i didn’t know how to flair this, Secondly, i don’t live in a political household, my parents have never voted a day in their lives, and i only recall my grandparents (who i also live with) voting once since i was born, So i’m not really up to speed with all of this, but this is where social media (specifically tiktok) came in. I’ve started to learn more about the political state of the US, and the more i hear, the more offput(?) i get because, i don’t know if a lot of what i hear is true, but it seems like it. it’s also making me a little angry how (this might make some people mad idk i’ve never been here before) our president is doing this stuff? i don’t really know how to put my feelings into words, but it’s making me a little angry how not only him, but a lot of our other politicians are worrying about things that clearly aren’t problems. i don’t know, i don’t have anyone to talk to about this and i just needed to rant about something i don’t even know the half of. thanks for listening to my TED talk 😤❤️

2025.01.22 07:01 Own_Activity9047 DAE stop functioning after a fire alarm?
I live in an apartment and I woke up this morning to the entire building's fire alarms beeping, screeching, flashing, whatever else fire alarms do, and it was incredibly loud (though it was a false alarm and everyone's okay).
For the two hours after that, my hands were shaking and I couldn't do anything. Also, the fire alarm went off again, twice, for a few seconds at a time later in the morning. After finishing my classes today, I held off on going back home as long as possible because I was genuinely afraid to go into the building in case the fire alarm went off again. For the rest of the day, for the entire time I've been in my apartment, I haven't taken off my noise cancelling headphones or my hoodie, I've jumped at every little sound, and currently I'm afraid to move and I feel like sobbing. My water bottle is empty and I'm very thirsty but I just don't wanna move. It really makes no sense, and strangely, it didn't occur to me until just now that this might not be normal.
Anyone else get this?

When I try to set up the button mapping, it shows my controller as an option, but when I select it and try to set the buttons, it says "detecting" but it doesn't register at all when I press the button on the controller. It works fine on Dolphin.

 | Hi I’m just wondering how bad my gum recession is? I’m only 25 and been told I have gum recession from brushing my teeth too hard. I’m really freaked out that I’ve ruined my teeth and gums and it’s going to cause worse issues in the future. I’ve bought soft-bristled toothbrushes / cutting sugar out of my diet / taking omega 3 for swelling / I need a mouth guard because I grind my teeth at night. I have a 2019 Impreza. Temperatures today have been between 2 and -5°F. I was driving to work (about 8mi away) when about 5 or 6mi in the engine temp warning popped up. I slowed but still drove to work (dumb, I know), shut the car of and immediately restarted it. The warning's gone. I let it run for a few minutes and it didn't come back. On the drive home latter, same thing happened. Again at home, quick restart, it's gone. I let it run, doesn't come back. I checked my coolant tank. It's well over fill line, nearly to the cap.
Is this just the cold causing a false alarm? Or do I have a bigger problem?

My husband’s parents live in the US and have asked us when would be the best time to visit after bub arrives. This is our first little one so I’m a little unsure. Has anyone had this situation and when did you feel comfortable having family from overseas visit? I don’t want to make life more stressful for myself. They are super lovely but I think they’ll be in holiday not ‘helping’ mode.

'22 R1T LE, 35k miles. Bought used a bit over a year ago. I just replaced my 20" Pirelli Scorpion tires with Michelin Defender LTX M/S2s. Holy shit, this is like a totally new vehicle. It's like driving on a cloud compared to the bumpy-ass Pirelli's. I would have done this the day I bought the truck if I knew what an insane difference it would make in ride feel. Only a day in but.... wow. Hope this lasts for the duration of the Michelin 70k mile warranty!
