I have never studied art (science background) but I have tried taking an interest in some of the master pieces that have received acclaim over the years.
I really like the world of classical art right up to probably the era of Monet, but I can't exactly make sense of most of the works that came after his time. They became a bit too "surreal" for me, if that is a term that I can use?
Some examples include:-

Dali - A lot of his works appear "cool" but none of his works seem to evoke any emotions inside of me despite me staring at them for 15-20 minutes (including his actual works displayed at galleries)
Mondrian's works also look quite cool to me but I don't exactly feel blown away while looking at his works
Some of the contemporary works that I have seen at galleries in the last decade or so have made no sense to me at all. They just seem like arbitrary strokes/colours. While they once again, look quite cool, I don't think I have ever been able to associate any kind of a sophisticated feeling with these art works. I feel like I am missing out on something.

The realization - think I connect better with the classical art works and I do feel various emotions while looking at them - probably because they seem way more relatable to me and they do tell some kind of a story
How would you approach appreciating contemporary art? What kind of things are you looking out for? Is my expectation of feeling any emotions unjustified ? Am I approaching modern/contemporary art incorrectly?

Hello, I have never played Nintendo games before. I have a fairly good computer and a PS4 that I’ve been using for many years. I’ve never owned a handheld console, and now I want to try new types of games. I’m thinking of buying a Switch, but the fact that the Switch 2 is coming out makes me hesitate. Having significantly better game performance isn’t a big deal for me since I already have a good computer to play with mid good graphics. I read that the new Switch will be as powerful as a PS4, and I can’t decide if it’s worth waiting for.
Do you think, as someone who has never played Nintendo before and just wants to try it out, I should get the current Switch instead of waiting for the Switch 2? I’d like to play games like Animal Crossing, Hades, Little Nightmares, and Nintendo’s party games. Is it worth the wait? Are there people here who have never played Nintendo games before but loved it after getting a Switch? Normally, I’m someone who enjoys RPGs, but as I said, I want to try new things.

3 months out from DDay, WP had an EA/PA that lasted 4 months.
We had about a week of HB and then I have struggled. He hasn’t pressured me in the slightest and R is going well, but I just feel so meh about sex.
We’ve not had it many times recently but when we do I feel awful afterwards. Triggered, angry, dirty, disgusting. Nothing he does, but just the thought of him being with someone else and everything he’s put me through.
It takes me a while to build up the courage, and during it’s ok but after I feel the worst and it lasts a few days.
I also find him a bit gross now, like I’m turned off by what he’s done and don’t find him as attractive as I did? I’ve lost a lot of love for him.
Anyone else been through similar? I read a lot of posts about sex being better or at least regular after but that’s not the case here.
