2025.01.22 07:04 wild_tracker Comparing Multiple Regression Models and identifying best performers
I’m running around 100 different machine learning regression scenarios with different combinations of inputs, models and parameters. The data is split into training and testing subsets, rather than into 3 subsets.
From these models I get back the r2, Mae and rmse scores for the training and testing data.
Are there ways to identify the best performing models based on the scores?
Using scatter plots and histograms of the predictions vs actual is part of the process. But what I’m looking for is a quick way to find the better performing models to save having to go through each result.
I’m not using Python for this, but I’m open to ideas and techniques used within Python.
Would anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks

My friend and I got matched against a team in a 2V2 casual. The other team was so good it was amazing. We played the whole game just because it was incredible to see their skill. I have no idea how we matched to players so much better than us. We lost 11-2. If that was you playing, we know we should of forfeited but you two were amazing.

I feel like I am losing my mind folks. I have been commenting free Palestine everywhere on TikTok and not a single one has been removed to my knowledge (I haven’t received a message like in multiple posts I’ve seen)
My algorithm is also wholly the same as it was before. Like even my Xiaohongshu was getting the idea that I’m going to watch a family guy clip if presented one .
My conspiracy theory is it’s liberal china hawks doing misinformation because they still want it to go away, and they’re counting on most users eventually breaking down and going to Meta and or x (or even bsky).
TikTok can simply hold out and make the government look bad while continuing to simply cut services to a relatively small portion of their userbase (Douyin has a 748mil userbase pop and TikTok as a whole is 1.9bil. The company is worth significantly more than its traded at since it is owned in part by the CPC and gets funding for improvements and innovations from a money faucet, so it has a floor of some percentage of the entire Chinese economy and is unlikely to truely go broke since they’re constantly innovating to stay contributing to the economy.

I live with my girlfriend and when we're not at work we tend to set the alarm for 8am to get up. I like getting up at this time since it's not too late and I hate just staying in bed doing nothing. My girlfriend tends to go back to sleep and doesn't get out of bed until between 10:00-11:00.
When the alarm goes off my girlfriend has started wanting to just lay in bed and cuddle for an hour instead of getting up.
I've told her I don't really like getting out of bed at 9am so suggested she set the alarm for 7am instead then we could cuddle for an hour and I could still be up at 8am.
She refused and said she doesn't want to be waking up at 7am and that I should want to spend time cuddling her on a morning. I pointed out I've offered a compromise where I do still cuddle her but she's refusing as she wants everything her way. I pointed out she goes back to sleep anyway so why does it matter if the alarm is set earlier.
She said I was wrong and that I was being unfair. She said I should be fine with staying in bed an extra hour and shouldn't be expecting the alarm to be set any earlier.
AITA for waking to set the alarm an hour earlier?

Trying to start (using SKSE) after a bunch of mod-adding, and I get a message that it's a very bad idea to do so because, as the popup warning says (headed "SKSE Plugin Loader (2.2.6)"):
- A DLL plugin has failed to load correctly. If a new version of Skyrim was just released, the plugin needs to be updated. Please check the mod's webpage for updates.
- hdtSMP64.dll : reported as incompatible during load
- Continuing to load may result in lost save data or other undesired behaviour.
- Exit game? (yes highly suggested)

Questions: 1. Is it really effective? 2. Can local technicians still will be able to unlock it? I talked to NTC rep via phone that even when the person bring the device to a technician, they will still not be able to unlock it unless they remove the motherboard which will be a potential for a phone to become refurbished. 3.
