I am honestly terrified and so confused. A few days ago I found a lesion on my genital region and immediately went to the doctor. My doctor told me âit could be herpesâ (a different response from previous times I was scared about things that werenât), and said to take Valtrex for ten days. âIf it goes away in a few days, I would think thatâs probably what it is and we should test for it.â
WellâŠ. More popped up after starting to take it about 2 days later, all smaller but a lot more.
There has been no âoozingâ, it is not really even itchy. But now itâs been about 5 days and it seems like it might be headed out soon.
Hereâs the thingâŠ. I havenât had sex for a solid two months. All reputable sources say the incubation period is 2 to 20 days, and that MOST initial outbreaks happen within that 20 days, âbut can take months or yearsâ.
Whereas syphillis incubation period is 2-90 days which makes more sense from a timeline period. I am awaiting results on that and going nuts waiting.
Previous to my last time having sex, I had a lot of partners over the course of the past 18 years and never had anything like this. I had chlamydia once, with no symptoms, which was easily dismissed with a pill.
And now I am researching, and finding the false positive rate for HSV-2 is very high and it is literally wrong 50% of the time which makes me even more terrified to be tested.
So I guess my question is, does anyone know how frequently initial outbreaks actually end up coming way later than the time frame as opposed to never showing up at all???
I know they say one can be asymptomatic forever but with the rate of false positives Iâm not even sure how Iâm supposed to believe that with full certainty either!

I have had very late sporadic long cycles since taking plan b about 5 months ago. Back story, my periods were very normal before this HOWEVER my cycles have always been longer 35-40 days. Starting to get concerned simply because I have unprotected sex almost daily and have no signs of pregnancy, not trying but not preventing and I'd like to know if I need to look into problems deeper. I firmly am against birth control and plan B, I took it out of fear (first time having semen in me). I regret it and I know it messed me up mentally/hormones. I just want to know if anyone else has had odd periods/trouble getting pregnant after taking the morning after pill.
Also, the periods I have had since taking plan B have been excruciating (mine before were not very painful on a scale of 1-10 about a 3). I truly feel my hormones are messed up and I'm looking for possible natural routes to take to reset my hormones and "detox" from the plan B. Thanks in advance.
