I am an APS employee and was placed in a merit pool for the next level up through bulk recruitment at Defence under Procurement and Contracting.
I have a couple of questions regarding the merit pool process:
- Are applicants ranked within a bulk recruitment merit pool?
- Is each person in the merit pool assigned to a specific job category, given that the bulk recruitment spans multiple departments within the procurement and contracting team?
Additionally, I was placed in the merit pool in September 2024, but the email I received indicates that my eligibility is for 18 months starting from May 2024. This seems to suggest the timeframe begins from when the recruitment activity was initiated. Could someone clarify if this is standard practice?

My friend and I are planning to go Rome from Paris. We know taking a train is cheaper but longer and a flight is about quadruple the price of the train. The train is good because of sightseeing but air is good because we get to spend more time in both places.

 | Hey Guys, I am new in this and banking stuff. I created an Account with Axis Bank before 6 Months. Only have debit card for it (Online Rewards which cost 500 Rs per year, Gonna degrade it as I don't think have any benefits of it). I use Amazon Pay alot (A Prime Member). I tried to apply for ICICI Credit Card but it was rejected as they were unable to get the required CIBIL Score. Even, I tried to check it on Google Pay and it shows that that have no CIBIL History. Then I did some research and got to know that to start with your CIBIL Score you should take a loan from the bank or have an FD based Credit Card. But to be honest I don't want to choose any of these options. And if I tried to ask for the Credit Card from Axis Bank they ask me for Salary Slip which I don't have as I am a freelancer kinda employee but I do have invoice of the company So that is why I tried ICICI Bank Credit Card hoping that it won't have such document verification part but CIBIL Score got me. Recently, I started with Amazon Pay Later which is fortunately working and got a credit from them of Rs. 25000. Now, I think when I use those credits and repay them on time, will this increase my CIBIL? As this is a kinda loan right? Also, I can't apply for ICICI Bank Credit Card for 6 months so yeah have to wait for it. Till then can you guys suggest me or give your opinions on my thoughts? Also, I have one score app which has the Report Summary Page in which it shows the Cibil Tab as no credit history but in the Experian Tab I can see that my credit score is 753. And in that it has more details showing that I have 2 active accounts. I actually started with Dec 2024 2nd and, the score says that this is till 2nd Jan 2025, I have used Amazon Pay later and spent 5k for previous which I repaid before 5th of Jan.
