I wanted to know what people do when they find a product that says it was "processed in a facility" with their allergen.
I'm going overseas next month to a country that seems to have a lot of my allergens, so I'll be eating small things (my hotel has a kitchenette, and I'll be carrying chef cards just in case though I won't be going to restaurants). Found out recently even simple things like potato chips there can be processed with my allergen, so I'm getting a little worried.
My whole life I've avoided anything that says "processed in a facility", but the few times I've had something that said that with my allergen (ex, KitKats or chocolate in general), I've been fine. Just wanted to know if everyone else avoids it, or is it generally safe? Or is it better to stay away just out of risk alone?
For extra context, my allergies are all nuts (peanuts are the worst ones), eggs, and shellfish (and I avoid seafood too). I'm from the U.S. and will be visiting Japan. Any advice or stories helps, thanks :) Hope everyone is staying safe.

Tyler Durden was the cooler alter ego of the narrator since he felt like a mediocre loser and wanted to create this amazing, idealistic version of himself.
There are a lot of contradictions in the film such as the moment on the bus Tyler Durden mocks that Calvin Klein model in the poster, when he literally looks like that himself.
The narrator didn't feel 'good enough' to fuck Marla and she felt repulsed by him, yet she was infatuated by Tyler who was essentially a chad that she was desperate to sleep with. - "I fuck like you wanna fuck".
People have different interpretations of the film but here's what became evident at the end - Tyler Durden didn't exist (wasn't on camera etc), and all along it was the narrator who was Tyler Durden.
Therefore, the only thing that changed was his mindset. He envisioned himself as this chad-like figure and had a give-no-fucks attitude and was low inhibition which made him 'cool' to other guys and to Marla.
He no longer felt bound by his insecurities and being Tyler Durden allowed him to be this hyper-confident version of himself.
Surely this goes against the entire idea that self-improvement is masturbation? If you genuinely self-improvement whether that's hitting the gym and working on yourself to improve any aspect of your life - surely that leads to positive outcomes since you will feel more confident about yourself?
