Just went a upper GI endoscopy with a MiVu (mucosal impedance test) which showed that the probability of having GERD is only 12%. Throat and other parts looked fine. My gastroenterologist then diagnosed that I have hypersensitive esophagus.
Some of my symptoms: - Burning throat sensation (PPI helped) - Intermittent nausea / loss of appetite - Benign palpitations (Heart cleared by cardiologist)
He did not want to prescribe me anything and referred me to a psychiatrist, claiming my symptoms were due to anxiety / stress, but I personally do not think anxiety/stress is the root cause of this.
Should I go back and urge him to prescribe me some Amitriptyline or similar medication? Or should I heed his advice and see a psychiatrist.

Any maintenance/repairs it needs (oil change, repairs, etc) is done automatically (again, you still get charged for those parts) - Any house maintenance tasks (cleaning, replacing something broken, etc) is automatically done for you (again, you pay for things like cleaning products or broken stuff that needs replacement)
Tasks that involve people/animals (walking the dog/picking up or dropping of kids at places) are excluded. You cannot use this for other people's benefit, so if your friends parks a broken car in your garage, you cannot use this power to fix it. If you buy it from them with the intention of working around this, Elvis will know your evil intentions and it will not work. You also cannot use this power for profit in any way (say order groceries for your next door neighbour and ask them to pay you for transport, for example). This will apply to anyone living in your household - so for example, if you live with your SO/kids, their clothes will also be taken care of, their rooms cleaned, etc. If you move in with 20 people to exploit this, Elvis will know and prevent it from working. You can use this power as many times as you want, as often as you want. Clapping your hands accidentally or with other intents (say you go to a birthday party) will not trigger it - you must mean it. However, you cannot use it partially. Say you crash your car, but cannot afford the parts - you cannot clap your hands just to get groceries. If you do trigger it, you will be billed for the car parts as well, and your bank or whatever will come for you as it normally would if your bank account went into the red.
As stated above, Elvis will allow you to but this power in a year, when he comes back to you. However, he is not telling you how much it will cost. When the time comes, you will have to make an offering. If it exceeds the price Elvis wants for it, he will take your money and give you the power. If it is below the price he wants for it, he will be angry and steal 75% of the money you offered him, and disappear forever. You can offer $0 (or whatever currency you want) if you simply don't think it's worth it. They money must be in your bank account or physically with you. Elvis does not care if you take out loans, work very hard or kidnap newborn babies to get it.

I'm am adding a 250 liter brewery to a hotel and its bar. I have the funds so I am not worried about going bust, but I still want it to succeed. I will be the brewer, and eventually want to hand its operation off to someone. In order to build my experience I am on track to brewing 90 batches within two years. The intent is to become very familiar with ingredients and make most of my mistakes on 9 liter batches. My clients are likely looking for crushable Helles and Pilsner style beers, thus, mastering Teutonic brews is essential; but I still want to have a broad spectrum of styles on tap. What critical considerations should I not overlook? Everyone is welcome to weigh in!

Im going to compile some data and estimates in this post which i’ve scoured online to maybe give a better understanding to people who are waiting for ‘Season 2’.
Sales:
While the actual sale numbers are not publicly available, we can make estimates based on the data there is. There is a X account which covers sales based on ‘Oricon’ and ‘Shoseki’ which are reputable organisations. The tweet (linked below) has suggested there is approximately 800k in circulation for More than a married couple but not lovers.

This was 2 years ago now, meaning the number could be a lot closer to 1 million given the extra traction from the anime. With all that being said we should take it with a grain of salt as it is not an official source. So let’s say the range could be between 500k - 1 million in circulation.
Other Precedents:
If you compare these numbers to a popular manga which its anime has recently been renewed for a season 2, My dress up darling, you can see that these are far from impressive numbers. My dress up darling had roughly 5 million copies in circulation before the anime released, this number is now at over 10 million.
On top of this, Anime’s typically get at very least an announcement for season 2 of within 2 years of release. We have heard nothing so far which is concerning.
There Is Still Hope:
The author for the manga for More than a married couple but not lovers, has said she wants a season 2 herself and it just depends on publishing studios at the end of the day.
Now, since this genre is getting more popular due to the renewal of My dress up darling for season 2, it may be in the interests of these studios to take on More than a married couple couple but not lovers, to ride the hype and increased popularity of this genre.
My guess is after season 2 of my dress up darling, there will be an influx of people looking for similar animes, to which may boost the popularity of More than a married couple but not lovers. If sales improve enough, we may hear an announcement in the coming year.

I bought an item which was meant to be A+ refurbished but was scratched and dented when it arrived. I contacted the seller who replied promptly and said they can exchange. They asked for my email address to send a returns label to, and said if I tell them when I've returned it they will ship out a replacement then same day.
This all sounds fine but is it safe? Worst case scenario is they don't ship me a replacement, eBay shows the original order and item as 'Delivered' so I'm down. I've no real reason to think they will do this, but I'm cautious.
I'm guessing I should open an item not as described case and request a replacement through there?

2025.01.22 11:35 nutbutt3rs My ear is unbearably itchy
29F I started with ear pain on Friday (1/17) which became worse by Saturday Monday (1/18) so I went into urgent care. I was diagnosed with a middle ear infection and was given Amoxicillin Clavulanic (2x p/ day for 7 days). Yesterday (1/21) I noticed my ear was draining thick green pus as well as it being swollen shut from inflammation so I went back to urgent care and was diagnosed with also swimmers ear so they put in an ear wick and I given ofloxacin ear drops (10 drops a day for 7 days in which I should administer and lay on my side for an hour) and I did that for the first time before bed but now it’s 3:30am and my ear is unbearably itchy in my ear canal. I am not scratching it but I can’t go back to sleep or really focus on anything else but the itchiness. Does that mean the antibiotic ear drops are working? Or could I be allergic to the medication?
This is my 2 ear infection in 29 years and my first time with swimmers ears.
