My little one has been going to a private childcare near our home (5 mins drive) since September 2024, and recently started full time as of Jan. She is in the pre toddler room (age 1-2) and has been settling well. Today I’ve been notified that the community non for profit childcare we are on waitlist for has a spot for us, full time. I’m not sure what to do, as we’ve had positive experience with the educators at this childcare, but have also heard really good things about the community childcare. Is it worth changing childcare, with the safety of being able to change back if things are worse? Since the private childcare will have spots available (I think)! What would you do? Good morning, I would like to bring to your attention a case of a Taiany Caroline Brazilian who died in Breda on Jan 3rd by falling from the window of her and her boyfriend’s apartment while they were fighting.
The Dutch police closed the case in 24 hours alleging an accident, despite many evidence indicating it was not - witnesses heard she screaming for help, it was known for her to be in a abusive relationship, her boyfriend only called her family 24 hours after everything occurred, and much more.
Family and friends of a petition to ask for the case to be reopened and we need 10.000 signatures for it to be considered by the authorities.
Now we are only missing 1.500. Please sign the petition, we would like to make sure that none of women lives are taken for granted in the Netherlands, this must stop.

My son is 2 years 8 months and after one failed attempt last summer, we seem to have successfully trained (or at least jump started) this weekend. My question is about having a stool or ladder. I got the squatty potty branded stool for him to climb up on our regular toilet and we have an insert built into our toilet seat. However, it seems like the stool slips around a lot and it is hard for him to climb up and then turn himself around to sit down. He doesn't seem too fazed but don't want to risk him falling.
That's always our primary bathroom when people come over to our house and so I would like something that adults can easily move or ignore to use the toilet themselves.
Suggestions of a stool that doesn't slip around and is the right height for a toddler? Tia!
