 | i have ALWAYS had problems with my nostril piercing and silly me thought it’d be a good idea to put a star shaped jewellery in it. spoiler it was not! even worse it’s a clicker… i’ve only just managed to get the clasp open but it literally will not budge any advice how to remove it from home? quite stupid ik. i think it was pierced at a strange angle or something because some types of jewellery does not fit despite being the right gauge. there have been times ive gone to change it and getting the jewellery in makes my vision go black, is incredibly painful and just overall not a fun experience. i have multiple other piercings none of which i have this issue with but anyway how can i get this out asap!!! i have to remove it for surgery and the initial plan was to just be stuck with it forever but obviously that can’t happen now submitted by Acceptable_Rough_678 to piercing [link] [comments] |

I work in a role that is fairly high stress. It’s mainly high stress because I’m the only one that can do it and there’s no one to back me up. It’s not always busy and I can mostly choose my own hours, which is what justifies it. Mostly though, my boss leaves me alone and never checks up on me.
Here’s the thing.
I work 30 hours per week in this role.
I’ve been working here for 3 years. I’ve only just seen on my signed contract that for each 6 months of employment I’m entitled to $200 bonus. I’ve never been paid it. I’m also entitled to $100 per month non tax allowance and it randomly stopped 3 months ago. This is on my signed contract too.
I planned a meeting to discuss this with boss but then I saw on my same original signed contract from 3 years ago that I’m only contracted 20 hours per week. Which means he gave me 10 more each week all this time, which I needed. He also knows that I mostly never do the full 30 hours and he’s comfortable with that.
Up until now I believed I had the full 30 hours on my contract. Anyway.
Should I still bring up the owed money in our meeting? Or do you reckon he’d feel like I’m ungrateful for the extra 10 hours weekly or that I’m greedy?
To add: it’s not his company. He’s my boss but he’s not the owner or the big boss.

I'm trying to make a career move from a 6 figure blue collar HVAC job to IT. Currently taking classes to transfer to WGU for a bachelor's degree in information technology.
About 10 yrs ago I had few contact jobs doing PC deployment and help desk but didn't last long. I also had an A+ cert.
After getting a degree I would have, network+ A+, security+ and some other certs. I know basic python as I did a bootcamp for QA Automation.
Just trying to know if I'm on the right track to moving into IT. I know I'll have to take a pay cut but going from making 120k to entry level help desk going to hurt.
Is there anything I could do now to put myself in a better position to get a job that more than help desk. Not trying to make 6figs out the gate but maybe around 70k range?
Are there part time IT jobs that can be 2nd or 3rd shift just for experience?

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for about 6 months. For reference, I’m 5’2” and curvy. My boyfriends type is a more petite woman. I fit that with my height but my curves are not something he typically goes for. When we first started dating, he told me he wished I was thinner. It took me by surprise bc prior to that, he was always all over me. He’s a very physical person and his love language is physical touch. I was a very confident woman prior to that as well. I have no issues with people having preferences, I have them too. But it was just a shock to hear him say that. Anyways, he’s done his best to show that he loves me and finds me very attractive still, but it’s hard not to get in my head about it and feel super insecure or feel like he’s lying and just settling for me. Any insight from the male perspective here that will help me get over this??

Hey all! I bought the SwitchHub 2 bc it includes an IR-Blaster and later learned I can't use it with HA...(or at least I haven't figured out how.) I really don't want to spend more money and want to know if there is an Add-On/Integration that allows me to connect my HiSense TV with Vidaa OS to connect to HA, so that i can maybe control volume or expose its speakers to the network, turn if off, whatever. Anything is better than not being able to control it at all😅 If you need more specifics I'll edit the post with the exact model. Thanks in advance!
