 | Hi guys, first time posting here. I started working on my handwriting a couple of months ago and it has inevitably led to fountain pens. I got these three vintage pens on marketplace for £50 (hopefully a good deal but I have no idea), and they arrived today! I now need to get some ink and would love some recommendations. Inks to avoid would be great as well, I don't want to damage them. If anyone has any information about the models that would be amazing too. I’ve had close to a dozen service interruptions (TV/internet) over the last two month with Comcast. No warnings. I work from home full time. I can’t get customer service to credit my bill and any attempt to contact Xfinity won’t go past the chat bot.
Currently lost all services, without warning, due to a “network performance issue in your area” ??? What does that even mean???

2025.01.22 12:51 luktra- AITAH because I'm sick in the first month
I moved in October last year for my degree and started my mini-job at the end of December. Accordingly, January is my first full month. I always work two days a week. I've had what I call a "sleeping root infection" for about a year, which broke out a few days ago. This not only hurts the face and head but also needs to be treated quickly.
This happens on Friday and my dentist is in my hometown about 5 hours away from where I live now(for the degree). So even if I ,no longer had a toothache after the root canal, I wouldn't be able to go back to work in time.
My boss reacted quite impulsively and immediately terminated me and removed me from the plans (January/February). I can partly understand that because in retail you need people when they are on schedule. But there's nothing I can do and I just need the treatment for now.
Do you think this is because I'm in the first month? Is it my own fault because I'm missing now? At my last employer, where I was employed full-time, I initially tore my ligaments and was away for 6 weeks and that wasn't a problem at all. But it wasn't retail, is that why? He said it is a big hassle for him to find representation. Why is he terminating me and taking me out of the plan when he now has to find a replacement twice a week until February?

Dude I’ve been here 5 years now, and I just can’t get over these people expecting me to know exactly what they want when they won’t tell me anything specific.
I just had this old guy come through the line and he wanted “a sausage egg and cheese on whatever you put it on” and I asked him which bread he wanted and he said no to everything. So then I asked him if he just wanted it separately on a tray and he got pissy at me and made me go get someone else to take his order? Then he told my manager exactly what he wanted which made me look crazy. Then at the window he parked like a mile away and got upset that I couldn’t reach him. He just kept saying “really???” As if it my fault he parked like that. So annoying.

For context, my boyfriend is in prison and this is my supposed friend... He knows and said he accepted my situation. He drives an Uber and I bought him rubber ducks to give out as trivia prizes while I was over the car just to be fun and make his car rides more interesting.... we were supposed to be friends, and I certainly set boundaries from the start. He lives far far away. But he always suggested that I come out his way and offering plane tickets. I kept telling him no, and that it was inappropriate. We talked on the phone all the time, and I won't share too many screenshots out of respect, but eventually he got fed up with me and said that he's tired of talking about my bf, my life and, lawyers and, things that I have going on I find that incredibly disrespectful considering the fact that he knew the situation when he got into it. He told me I'm disrespectful of his time. I never promised him more than friends. Aita for thinking that he kept asking for more when he knew that I was too exhausted and too spent to give that to him?
TLDR - my guy friend wants more time than he thinks he gets, even though I'm happy with just being on the phone
