I applied to 7 universities for my PhD in the US and haven't heard back from a single university or professor
Essentially feel like I've been soft rejected
I didn't really have a lot of hope but it's hitting me really hard now that I actually didn't make it anywhere
I'm scared and worried
I can't afford to apply in more cycles and I'll probably have to continue studying here, in my home country, which is also really difficult to get into
I spent so much money of tests and applications and I can't help but feel so guilty and hopeless
Is it too late? Should I email the professors? Do I have any hope left?

Olá a todos, perdão por participar da floodagem de posts pós-lista mas estou muito triste com os resultados. Fiz Direito AC, e fiz 685.56, uma nota que, ano passado, passaria no Noturno com suavidade (a nota de "corte" da primeira chamada foi 676.850) mas nesse nem passei em Ribeirão. Não sei porque aumentou tanto, mas até me tirou um pouco as esperanças da segunda chamada, já que somente por classificação, a minha nem seria chamada em uma segunda lista já que estou uns 10 abaixo do ultimo que entrou pela segunda chamada do Noturno ano passado.
Pior de tudo é que toda minha família tinha mandado mensagem desejando boa sorte, e estou curtindo a praia com uns amigos bem quando essa bomba sai, tanto que tavamos discutindo vestibular ontem. Até tive uma amiga que passou em direito, que a gente tava falando de fazer junto etc. E agora estou com cara de cu aqui. Esse post é mais um desabafo mesmo, mas se alguém souber quais são minha chances de passar em Ribeirão agradeceria (estou 271 na classificação geral).

Mostly medium height Carpet; cat hair dust seems to be the biggest issues...some hard floor. Is the suction and filtration just as good on the Sebo K3 as Miele C3 or even C1 Turbo. The concern I have with Miele C3 series is people are saying they leak dust even when bag is properly sealed but in videos it does look like Miele suction is better for pet hair etc... I know about the hospital grade S filtration in SEBO and can buy HEPA if desired for the Sebo K3. Severe dust allergies/asthma after vacuuming with my brand new Shark bagless Duo fin pet vacuum... allergy doctor recommend a bagged only vacuum of good quality. I would love to replace my carpet with hard wood floors but cannot afford it right now.

They have invited me to live with them in Seattle to learn more about American culture and lifestyle to see if I would be able to fit in. My boyfriend wants me to move to the US and live with him after we get married, but he wants me to experience the lifestyle first before making such a big decision to leave my home country. I am from Malaysia and planning to stay there for 2 months if possible.I have already checked the document requirements for the visa, and my main concern is proof of funds. I recently quit my job after one year to focus on freelancing. My freelancing business is doing well, and I have a decent income, but I’ve heard that freelancing can be seen as a red flag when applying for a visa, it doesn't help that I'm meeting my boyfriend and his family too.I’m wondering if providing proof of my rented apartment would be sufficient to show that I have ties to my home country and do not intend to overstay my visa. Do you think this is enough, or should I look for a temporary job to strengthen my application?
