2025.01.22 15:40 OpeningFeeds macOS can bypass MFA, a year later
I am not sure if this is not a priority for CrowdStrike or Microsoft but a year later and if you use a macOS based machine and use the official RDP client from Microsoft you will not get any MFA prompt except DCs. This is a little frustrating and surprising.
We had a ticket opened on this and was told this was expected behavior. Seriously?! I like everything about CrowdStrike, but the Identity side is very much a v1 product in so many ways. The fact that you can use a different OS to bypass security policies is just mind blowing.
We have been looking at a product called Silverfort and it has a much easier and robust solution for internal MFA. It will block and require MFA based on the user, or what they are doing, or time of day, vs just being an RDP intercept. The downside is it more involved to setup and costs a decent amount. Plus, it is mainly focused with on-prem with some integration with cloud.
Anyway, I would like to see CrowdStrike take a serious look at improving the Identity product as well as FIX the macOS issue. It needs to be easier to understand and setup rules vs always doing mind games on how a policy needs to be built. There is a lot of potential in here and it would be great to see it grow!

 | hi everyone! you may have seen me post on here a few times about artemis who has feline injection site sarcoma (FISS). almost 2 weeks ago we went to her oncologist for her second chemo treatment after having to reschedule because her white blood cell counts were too low and i found a place where a tumor was starting to grow back. after having x rays last week to check for any metastasis (still clear!) she had surgery yesterday to remove the tumor and is doing great! this was definitely her least major surgery yet, i caught the tumor before it had attached to any tissue so it was just skin and she’s already feeling more like herself. the vet says she did great and he is confident he got it all, but i’ve learned not to get my hopes up. i should hear about the margins next week, but even if they’re clean it will still come back since it’s so aggressive. i know i’m racing against time but i’m happy for any moments i have left with her. thank you all so much for your love and support, i really could not be on this journey without this community♥️ submitted by fakevegansunite to TripodCats [link] [comments] |

Amex Platinum Travel - Got it solely for the purpose of converting my points to Marriot bonvoy points as I have plans of vacationing with my girlfriend(Soon to be wife in 2026). My annual spends are around 5-6L so this will be my primary card. Amex corporate Green - Just got it as a mandate from my company. Have 0 use case for this unless it's a work related expense SBI Cashback - Got an offer for FYF since I used to hold a salary account with SBI. Thout I'd do all my online spends after the 4L milestone on the plat travel, but SBI has given me a 20k CL :/ Au lxigo - I have an upcoming friends trip to Amsterdam, so got this card solely for that purpose since it's LTF, will be useful for future international trips as well. (Faced the usual AU horrors to get this card. Got rejected, escalated to RNO, PNO then finally ombudsman and then got it approved) Will be getting a HDFC Millenia LTF soon too as I just shifted my Salary account to HDFC, and want to build my relationship with them to get the DCB maybe next year and Infinia soon(when I hit the salary requirement). Will mostly do all my online spends on this as SBI cashback has a limit of only 20k. My Cibil is not that great due to my foolishness, a while back I got around 11 hard enquires done which plummeted my cibil to 745 Still got all these cards quite easily(except AU lxigo). A while back, I published an npm package designed specifically for Vue projects. It simplifies the process of handling loading screens—no need to write custom code for that anymore. Instead, you just use the component from the package to show or hide a loading overlay.
The problem is, it hasn’t gotten much attention since I released it. 😅
What are some good strategies to promote an npm package like this? Should I focus on creating tutorials, writing articles, or maybe engaging in forums like this one? If you’ve been in a similar situation, I’d really appreciate your advice.
