I am about as Icelandic as you can get, according to the paper records...99% or so, with one or two Danish merchants contributing to my ancestral pool over 200 years ago.
Now, in the past I used to get something like 85% Scandinavian (mostly Norwegian) and 15% "Celtic" (Irish or Scottish) from all the DNA companies, but last year Ancestry added "Iceland" as a separate region and my numbers went to "96% Iceland"
Fair enough - that's where almost all of my ancestors are from for the last 1100 years or so, but the old results were somehow more interesting, as they told me a bit about where my ancestors were before that.
However - a lot of other people with no known Icelandic ancestry suddenly got 1-5% "Iceland". Now, it is not impossible they have an Icelandic ancestor - there were some who left to fight in the Napoleonic wars and others were kidnapped by slave raiders from North Africa, but the most likely explanation is that the same Norwegian/Celtic mix existed in places like Shetland/Orkney/Hebrides and parts of northern Scotland or Ireland, where "vikings" had a strong presence back in the day.
I think it is much likely that most of those getting an unexpected "Iceland" component really have some Irish or Scottish ancestors of "viking" origin instead.

No right or wrong answers here - this is for the sake of discussion. The entire Enneagram knowledge base is connected, and people sometimes forget that. Call me old school, but more and more, I like to prioritize the traditional authors' ideas (Gurdjieff, Ichazo, Naranjo, etc). All of those affected what followed. Reconciling the early authors' ideas alone can be a challenge.
Which Enneagram community resources do you enjoy and find most useful, approachable, interesting? How did you come to know and understand your type and the system as a whole (assuming you do)?

I’m on week 2 of only 2.5 and I feel awful. Did my injection in my thigh because I read it might help.
First day super nauseas, day 2 nausea and stomach pains like no tomorrow.
Starting day 3 I woke up out of a sound sleep with diarrhea all over me! Yuk!
Trying to push through this. I can barely eat. I’ve tried bone broth, crackers, coconut yogurt and chicken. It all is making me bloated and miserable.
What advice can you give me? I need to loose at least 40lbs for my heart health ❤️
Right now I just want to cry. Please tell me it gets better?!

Umm so where are you getting the screenshots? Presumably someone has an X account that would be on it who cross posts to Reddit.
Maybe a better statement would be to just deactivate your X account and leave the app for good, and then the X cross posts go away on their own. Really dumb imo

I have restarted my RS3 grind after taking a bit of a break (started doing some quests a few months ago but never gave it the full go, that’s what I’m here for now). I come from OSRS so the gear and skill progression is way different. I have attached my stats for a better overall viewpoint. I’m currently wearing rune. I know there are a fuck ton of options for gear and what not. I have been on a questing grind the last bit working through the lower level quests but I feel very out of place not knowing where I should be setting my objectives as I go. I like setting goals and then getting my objectives aligned to meet them. My main goal is skilling and PVM . Slayer is on my list of things to start but I want to try and get my combats to level 70 before diving in head first: If anyone has a great YouTube suggestion, always down for it! Thanks!

for a little background i have been taking plan b a lot recently because im scared to get pregnant but my mom never taught me if i take it to much i could get a cyst on my ovaries. for three weeks i’ve been feeling a really bad pain in my left ovary and it won’t go away no matter what i do. im not sure if its a cyst or not but it hurts like hell. my mom refuses to take me to the doctor every time i ask to go for any reason because “im fine” but every time i’ve asked it’s been serious. i’m really scared because it gets worse every day and she won’t help me. and ik my family won’t help either. and if i go to the ER by myself my mom will find out and say that im mentally ill and send me to a mental hospital so im asking for your guys opinions.
