every single time i use this god forsaken app, my driver is on the other side of the city, drives past my store to another pickup, then delivers it first. some of the time they sit there and wait until they get a second order. i understand if it happens once or twice but its every single time now.
stop advertising 25-40 min pickup if your going to make every delivery take 40+min. 25 min orders taking over an hour just to be given a $3 credit. pathetic company

2025.01.22 15:02 cheezedtomeetu Can't get any more time off from work, but daughter is still mildly sick. Solutions?

Not sure that there is anything to do. Probably not the best practice, but as long as they don't have a fever or are dangerously sick, the director does make the daycare staff take sick kids. I texted asking him, just to make sure, and he said we could bring her in tomorrow.
She has a cold, running nose, and cough. It's not rsv or COVID. She's had the tests 2 times this past week. We've been in and out of the doctors. Basically, they said she's still probably got another few days or week of illness.
I've kept her home since Tuesday of last week. I took that time off, but my work won't give me a single other day. I have to go back to work tomorrow.
I don't want to send a sick kid to daycare, but a few problems. I don't have help and I'm a single mom. Her dad has been all but useless because he's also sick, and he just basically refuses to take her when he doesn't feel good. I'm sick too, but I still took care of her.
I don't have any family or friends that can take her. I have $80 to my name rn.
Is there a solution I'm not thinking of? If I lose this job, I'm in danger of homelessness. But I really don't want others to get sick

Just like the title reads, he’ll be talking to me and he’ll say something along the lines of “you’re the best fiancé” or “you’re the best wife” and I’ll respond to him. “Yeah, I’m pretty good girlfriend” or “I am an awesome girlfriend.” Kinda jokingly back to him. You can tell it kind of hurts his feelings or he seems hurt to the response with girlfriend over me agreeing but changing about the fiancé or wife part to girlfriend. I have jokingly told him all you have to do is ask and he kinda seems to laugh it off. For context, we have discussed marriage and stuff in regards to that. I do think it does hurt his feelings that I don’t agree with saying fiancé or wife, but for me fiancé and wife should be held for when the question of proposal has been asked and a marriage has taken place, and not just because we are living together and have been together. So AITA for correcting his words?
