2025.01.22 15:52 Bright_Ad_8981 Trying to beat the Combat Calculator.. pt.2
 | Just to reiterate what I’m trying to get at.. I’m noticing I can either do non-hp training methods like cannon or alch; and/or I can quest my stats, again for non-hp. I quested and non-hp trained my stats and I’m insanely limited on HP levels, including till my next combat level. My question is.. how is everyone such high hitpoints while we share the same combat level and similar combat stats? I always notice their HP being significantly higher than mine. How is that possible? I’m talking like 20-30 level HP differences. In regards to the combat calculator.. I do look at it often! It confuses me though.. I can get like 55 attack or strength levels before my next combat level BUT I’m like 4 hitpoints levels from my next combat level(my HP being mid 40’s, competition being mid 70’s). I'm a sophomore and my roommate was a senior. When I came back from my 8 am final last semester at around 9:30 he and all of his stuff was gone. PC, LED lights, bedsheets, everything. He deactivated his socials around that same time and we never exchanged numbers so I couldn't contact him. He reactivated his socials a few days ago and I dmed him asking if he was coming back but he hasn't responded. I think it's safe to assume that he graduated but Idk what to do next. Do I alert Residence Life? Will I automatically get assigned a new roommate? What am I supposed to do or what should I expect next.

Hello
We’ve had our flat for a year and a half (new build, leasehold). In that time, we’ve had at least 5 instances of complete loss of hot water for over 24 hours (often several days in a row).
There’s clearly some kind of problem with the communal hot water supply. The flat is under warranty. All we’ve been told to date by the developer is that contractors are working on it and to bear with them. That’s the only information we’ve ever had. We have no idea, for example, what the actual root cause of the issue is and when it might be permanently fixed (it seems to reoccur every couple of months).
Multiple flats (relatively large development) will lose hot water at the same time. It’s never really all of the flats. Our flat is one that is particularly affected and we suspect that our “wing” of the building is particularly vulnerable to whatever the problem is.
We don’t intend to sell our flat anytime soon. BUT, it’s a very uncomfortable position to be in given we don’t know if the value of the flat (our only asset) is negatively affected while this problem persists.
If something happened (touch wood) and we had to sell our flat, would this issue be the type of thing you’d be compelled to inform a buyer of? I have no idea about the rental position either, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable renting it out knowing the hot water is sort of unstable.
Basically wondering if we can plead with the developers for more info on the basis that the value of our investment has sunk (if this would be disclosable). We really just want transparency and answers - I don’t doubt they’re trying to fix it but it’s worrying that they haven’t yet!
If there’s any other advice as to sensible next steps then would also be interested. We’ve written to the developers, their appointed subcontractor and property management seeking information and we’ve been fobbed off (“contractors are working on it” “it is high priority”). We’re basically just sat here wondering when/if it’s worth contacting a solicitor.

We have a 30+ year-old Glow-worm boiler that has recently started leaking carbon monoxide. We've had several professionals look at it, but no one seems willing to repair it. It needs a replacement inspection glass and seal. Our house is quite old, with a traditional setup: the heating and gas are separate, and there are water tanks in the loft and an airing cupboard in the bathroom.
We had British Gas come out to provide a quote for upgrading to a combi boiler. They quoted £8,000 for everything, as it would involve joinery work to relocate the boiler from the kitchen to another room. On the other hand, BoxIt provided an estimate of around £4,000, but they can’t visit the property to give a more tailored quote.
Has anyone else with an older house made the switch to a combi boiler? Any advice will be appreciated
