Hey all,
Was just hoping to ask for some advice.
I was baptized in the Roman Catholic Church, and I did my First Communion as a child, but despite my family’s limited partaking in some of rituals of the Catholic Church - mainly just baptisms and funerals - they were largely non-religious. I come from a family that was once Catholic, but by the time I was born, they had very much lost their faith, and they kept some of the rituals as vestigial organs, I supposed; as matters of habit rather than faith.
But, long story short, I really want to come back to the Church. After reading the Bible, praying, exploring the history of Christianity, and getting in touch with what I truly value, I want to come back.
But I’m afraid to go to Mass. I’m worried about standing out as a stranger, and I’m worried because I won’t know all the prayers, etiquette and order of the ceremony.
Do any reverts or converts or anyone at all have any advice on how to deal with this?

When you enroll in classes at NVCC you are automatically opted-in to all-access. This means you will receive a bill for $22.50 per credit you are enrolled in, regardless if the classes use free/open course materials.
This semester I am taking 17 credits. Only one class (4 credits) requires paid course materials, which can be legitimately purchased for $114. If I were to take no action, NVCC would be sending me a bill of $382 for the "convenience" of not purchasing my own 114 dollars worth of course materials.
Barnes & Noble (presumably the school also gets a kick back from this partnership) is making money by charging people for courses which require no paid materials.

Anyone out there holding onto some Yakima or Thule towers for a car with no rails/crossbars (smooth roof)? The kind with the clips that grab around by the door? Or some short crossbars? Just started using Dartassist as I begin a job transition and it's very slick. The UI is easy to interact with and really user-friendly.
Some pros:
- Tailors all the info from your resume and creates a pared-down version that's specific to the position to which you're applying
- Creates a resume summary/personal statement specific to the position to which you're applying
- Does a good job outlining a basic cover letter
- The application tracking tool is very simple and efficient!
- I had to edit the cover letter every time, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something to be aware of. As always YMMV, but I found it helpful as a jumping off point
- I kept editing the choices that it defaults for choosing which section to put in your customized resume. This could just be user-error, but it was a little frustrating to have to go back through and manually check/uncheck specific items.
