Hi Reddit!
I recently posted on here about just doing day hikes instead of the W, but was convinced by all of you on my last post to just go for the W! Soooo I’ve booked it- for next week! And I’m sooo excited!
However during my research and planning, I figured 4 days/3 nights was enough. But now that I’m watching videos and planning my packing, I’m a bit nervous I won’t be able to do this.
Here’s the itinerary:
Day 1: flight from Buenos Aires at 5:45, arrive to El Calafate at 9:00am. Take the 11:45 bus to get to Puerto Natales by 6pm. Spend the night in PN
Day 2: From PN, take the ferry and shuttle and hike to our camp for the night, Chileno. Sleep early for sunrise hike the next day
Day 3: Sunrise hike to Mirador Base Towers and stay there for a couple hours basking in the view! Hike back down to Central, eat lunch, then hike all the way to Cuernos for dinner, then hike to Francés to spend the night at Frances. (Cuernos was full)
Day 4: Hike from Frances to Paine Grande and sleep at Paine Grande.
Day 5: ferry/shuttle combo back to PN, sleep in PN
Day 6: bus from PN back to El Calafate, flight to Buenos Aires at 5:45pm
From what I’m watching/reading, I feel like this might be too ambitious for someone with a very base level of fitness (walk 10k steps a day and do Pilates 2-3 times per week, eat healthy). I’m not the biggest hiker in the world, this is my first overnight hiking backpacking trip! I have hiked only day things like Zion, Yosemite, hikes in Arizona, Canada, and in Aus/NZ.
I am very nervous now that I won’t be fit enough for day 3, as Chileno -> base towers -> all the way back down to Frances is super far.
There is an option for me on the website to add another day camping somewhere on the W trek instead of that last night in Puerto Natales. Do you think it is better I try to do it in 5 days/4 nights instead of 4 days/3 nights?
I know I am a novice so please be nice to me but I am freaking out!! All advice and experience tips are welcome.

 | Before I start my tangent I mean absolutely no hate towards this author, she’s genuinely talented. Now I started rereading this story since I liked it so much I wanted to replay it again, but I played it a while ago compared to now. The main thing I took note of was how I felt that the romance was pretty fast paced or just kinda underdeveloped- maybe even kinda bland- (I romanced Bryle), I also felt like there wasn’t really a lot of development with all the characters even if I found them all to be interesting Also, the mc imo was pretty bland and boring- I found nothing interesting about her apart from finding out what exactly she was, I wonder if the reason for this was because she was a self insert for audiences to put themselves in, if that’s the case then it might just be personal preference because I actually don’t like when creators do that with their mcs 😭 Another thing is that another one of the love interests were introduced really late into the story (around the 30s chapters) at least imo I do like the directing, and I do like some dialogue as well as other factors I don’t know how this story ends, but from what I’ve heard it’s pretty rushed. Hello! I wanted to reach out to this community for some advice, as I don't really have any practicing lawyers in my life to turn to.
I'm 26 and applied to law school this cycle—still waiting on the majority of admit decisions, and am still unsure if I'm going to go through with it. I have a few generous offers (including one full ride) from a few lower-ranked schools with very strong public interest reputations. I applied to a handful of T14s as well, which are a *bit* of a long shot, though not impossible.
I've been in the working world for 4ish years, and currently have a cushy job in ad sales for a huge global company in NYC, making ~$110k with my bonus. The work is relatively easy, and the WLB is fantastic. I'm rarely working past 6pm, and have never once touched my work on a weekend.
The thing is, I hate it. It feels completely pointless, boring, and soul-sucking—I'm a total corporate drone, and my work feels completely at odds with my values. Even if don't go to law school, I'd definitely look to jump ship to another workplace. Public interest law (labor, environmental, civil rights, etc.) is incredibly exciting to me on paper. An opportunity to do intellectually stimulating work that allows me to serve others in these dark times (without making absolute poverty wages) seems like a fitting pivot to get more out of my work, spiritually speaking.
As the decision looms near, however, I'm getting increasingly nervous. From a purely financial perspective, this feels insane. Even if I take a full-ride offer, I'll still have cost-of-living loans to pay off, and know I would be lucky to make even 75% of my current salary out of law school given the fields I'm interested in.
Is the financial and opportunity cost of law school worth it for someone like me? I'm wary of glamorizing my image of public interest work—do I need to just suck it up and be grateful for my salary and free time? Is this just adult life?

I've just upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 1600X to a Ryzen 7 5700X. I've updated my bios to the most recent update. My windows is installed in my m.2 ssd, when I booted it up after the upgrade, it sent me to the windows automatic repair blue screen. I went back to the BIOS and found out that m.2 ssd was detected in the system information but it was not shown in the bios boot priority sequence. I tried to solve it by unplugging the only other hard drive but it still wouldn't show or load from the m.2 in the boot priority. any suggestions on how I could fix this? thank you.

I've been using my provider for a bit over a year, and it helps me skip out of my state to access certain sites, but basically every major service just doesn't work when I'm using it. Banks, every streaming app, the app store, some retail sites, all fail to load or process things due to the vpns usage. This is my first experience using this brand, is this a normal experience for people? If so, what's the point of a VPN if everyone "knows" im using it and blocks service?
