2025.01.22 18:13 RSM850 How long in desiccant box?
Hi. So far i was printing only with PLA but now that I learned the basics I want to try my luck with more advanced filaments. But those need to be dry and even a roll of PETG that was hanging over the printer started to print with lower quality.
So I build a box for desiccant. The question is how long different types of filament should be in there so the roll is dry? I imagine that outside layers have more access to air so they will dry faster, and the deeper inside the spool the longer it will take.
I have no problem reaching the point where one of those small hygrometers show 10% so the real value is that or lower. When can I be sure that this is the humidity of the whole roll not just the top layers. I would hate to start printing perfectly only to get stringing and bubbling after few hours.
I imagine that if I print from the box and the spool is wet inside it will not dry fast enough during print.
I tried to look for a table for different materials but those seem to exist only for active drying with heat involved. I can't find any data for passive drying with desiccant.

Are travel units better designed for rough handling?
We're heading off on a motorbike tour around Vietnam. Bags are strapped to the back of the bikes and we'll be travelling over some fairly rough roads at times (not off-road, just dirt/unfinished roads)
I use a F&P SleepStyle and love it, but worried the vibrations it'll encounter on a couple of the days for short periods could cause issues.
I've taken it all over the world and never had an issue, but it's always been in my carry-on and treated like my life depended on it (how awesome is getting sleep, amirite!).
I wasn't too concerned initially and figured I'd just wrap it in my clothes to provide extra padding between it and the bike.
Sooo.. buy a travel unit, or yolo it with the SleepStyle?

Haven't played the games so not sure if it's mentioned in the lore. But how come Alucard can casually walk around civilians and they don't act like he is of a concern. Or make comments at his vampiric appearance.
He seems to just get treated as a normal person when in towns/cities especially in Nocturne.
Wouldn't there be some type of heightened concern about him? I guess there sorta was in the first Castlevania show. But Nocturne it seems like that's out the window.

2025.01.22 18:13 Avalon_II How can I take down this ceiling light shade and change the bulb?
I've tried removing the little nut from the bottom but the shade wouldn't come out, it seems fixed in place because of the way the bottom and sides are attached to the socket. I can't pull the bottom out either because the bottom edge of the side protrudes inward. Any help would be appreciated.

Jenni is my favorite cast member on Jersey Shore, but not for reasons that has to do with the show. I love Jenni for what she's doing behind the scenes, like she spreads awareness about Autism and is trying to break the stigma. I love that she also works charity events at KultureCity and for people with Autism and other special needs. I love how in podcasts she started talking about her mom and bringing awareness to mental illness. After hearing about Jenni's childhood, how her mom's maternal instincts never clicked and how she never had that mom figure to take care of her, explains why she's so motherly to the people she cares about. She's also an amazing mom to her kids and being the mom that she didn't get to have growing up. I love how she opened up about Greyson's Autism, because it made me feel less alone discussing my journey with Autism. I also love the videos she does with Meilani and they're both funny together. I love her for how she is off camera, and think she's actually sweet in real life. That's just me.
