2025.01.22 20:48 ExistingObject 4 weeks of dairy/soy elimination, still seeing blood
*posting on behalf of my wife*
I EBF'd my son for the first 6 weeks. He would fuss/cry when eating, but no other symptoms. Eventually that led us to CMPI. After starting him on Alimentum, we immediately started seeing visible blood in his diaper. It could be a coincidence, but the timing was odd.
Now, I've eliminated dairy and soy for 4 weeks and egg for 2 weeks, but we are still seeing several bloody diapers a week. He is now on nutramigen since we combo feed (80% breastmilk, 20% formula).
The Peds GI says to wait for 6 weeks but it feels like the blood is more substantial/visible/frequent, not less.
Has anyone experienced this? We're really not sure what's going on, and where the intolerance is coming from. I can't shake the feeling that the formula has a role to play, but perhaps it's something else.

I just don't get it. I always want to help people even if they don't appreciate it. It makes me feel good because I did something right. Now if it means inconveniencing them then it kinda defeats the purpose. Why don't people see you as a good kind caring person that wants to help and talk to you when there's a problem? Why end up kicking you out and in court over the whole thing. Guess kindness doesn't get you far here just in the afterlife with God.

2025.01.22 20:48 SuspectionRS Switched from Hien Mid to SP-004 feels slower
I just got my glasspad so maybe I am jumping the gun on this but it feels noticeably slower than my Hien. I even put fresh dots (tiger ice v2), I ordered some obsidian pro air's as it seems to be the favored pick. Regardless it just feels slower, I'm not sure if it just wasn't what I was expecting or the skates just make it feel worse. I do not have my sleeve yet but my issue is strictly the mouse itself on the pad. It does feel scratchy but I assume that is the dots.
Will the obsidian's make that much of a difference? Should I just stick to my Hien?

So over the last 8 weeks I was on 2.5mg then 5mg. Now 7.5mg. The first two months I did not feel super super appetite/hunger going down. Was eating 2500+- on 2.5mg and 2300+- on 5mg (lost 17.6lbs total). Now starting 7.5mg today, I can immediately tell that it reduces my intake to 1800-2000. Very reassuring and the tracking helps to see the changes in intake over time.

FTB, agreed price of 7k lower than asking price initially.
I had a level 3 survey done which said get asbestos survey, damp and timber survey and roofer.
So far i’ve had the damp survey and asbestos survey back. I’m decided whether to proceed and pay out for roofer.
The damp survey said not much to report, some higher levels of moisture near chimneys and a little bit of woodworm. To carry our works it would be 2-2.5k.
Next is asbestos, buyers refused to allow a sample being taken. They said they were concerned about damage to their house which I find weird. The surveyor said it shouldn’t cause damage just a little scratch but can’t confirm that further plaster etc. Wouldn’t be damaged as it does sometimes happen when more falls away. I just think surely they would let the sample be taken so that we can confirm either way. The surveyor said as they can’t confirm they just highly suspect it’s asbestos in the artex, but also confirmed every ceiling is in great condition so no concerns really and it can just be left. It’s not anywhere else in house, to remove artex about 2-2.5k and I assume to re plaster would be about the same.
The roofer i’m working out whether to pay out for, i’ve already paid about 1,800-1,900 in surveys. A family friend roughly quoted for 2k repairs to chimney to repoint and have new flashing.
I am thinking there are a few options:
- Continue with purchase
- Ask for a further price reduction, not sure if this is unreasonable
- Walk away
Any advice?

I'm moving to NYC soon and looking to avoid the crowded homeless encampments that I'm sure you're all very familiar with. I'm going to live in Midtown Manhattan, near an area called Billionaire's Row. I'm very scared of public transportation, what with the hooligans I'll have to fight off, and will be hiring a palanquin to commute to work, which is also in Midtown.
Anyone have first-hand knowledge of what kind of knife fights and gang wars I can expect? Is a chainmail palanquin sufficient or should I get a bullet-proof one?
