I got a gorgeous gift from u/bmore_tasty. After entering a contest for a giveaway NPB mini, Bmore reached out to me to ask why I was interested in the card. I explained to him that part of how I like to collect is to get a card from a series and see if it - no lie - sparks joy. (This is how I started my Bob Ross and All Aces collections, for example, as well as my 1995 Gold credit card subset). Not only did he send me one of the minis, but he included 4 other cards, all serial numbered under /100 to see what I might find that I liked - one of them is even SN'd /7. All this from the goodness of his heart.
He has no reason to be as generous as he consistently is, other than that he's just a really nice person who makes this community a nice play to be. Incredibly grateful for him. Love my new cards, love that guy.

Granted Moby-Dick isn't really horror at all, but for anyone who has read Moby-Dick (my favorite book), think of it: it has the insane dialogue, the deranged humor, the weird-looking eldritch monster, the stunning imagery, the grimy ugly men in homoerotic relationships - all the hallmarks of an Eggers movie!
If you've never actually read Moby-Dick I highly recommend it, it absolutely holds up as a really fun action-adventure story with some very cinematic scenes and it is surprisingly hilarious to boot (intentionally).
He is the only working director I can think of who could maybe, possibly, kind of do justice to this immense and brilliant book. Somebody just needs to give him another 90 million dollars to get it done.

I (29f) recently started seeing my bf (34m) he’s wonderful and silly and kind and makes me feel like the most wanted woman in the world. He’s very much “ADHD”. Always getting up and moving around, verbal stimming, leg shaking, foot tapping etc. He’s not medicated and I don’t expect him to be if he doesn’t want to be.
He’ll come up and just start dancing with me and being generally silly which is fine! I love it but I can’t always match that energy and it makes me feel like I am not enough.
Reddit, how can I approach this? I guess I’m looking for advice on where to start this conversation.
Or, if you’re an individual with ADHD who has a more introverted partner, have you gone through something similar? What did you do to navigate it?

So…I’ve had three blue mystery snails since June, so they’re probably about 8 months old now. I know they only live about a year. But, like, WTF is up with this snail? My other two still act normal, they’ve slowed down a bit because they’re elderly but they still live their lives, but this one didn’t come out of its shell for like two weeks. I sniffed it every day for like the last week to make sure it wasn’t dead, I had a dead nerite recently, it died in the mail getting to me, and it made my whole tank murky so I’m paranoid about dead snail right now. Today this one came out of its shell but it’s just, like, gently waving an antenna occasionally. What would y’all do? Should I put it out of its misery? Or is it fine?
