Hey everyone! First time posting so I apologize if there's any mistake :) I wanted to share a personal experience that might help others dealing with high liquid temperatures on their AIO setups (Specifically this AIO) This took me a while to figure out, but it all came down to an unexpected culprit: the outer ring RGB on my AIO pump cap (The outer ring depicted on the iCUE app)
My Setup
CPU: i9-14900K with a contact frame
AIO: Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX LCD
Ambient Temp: ~23°C
Configuration: AIO mounted as a top exhaust in push-pull configuration, 3 intake fans in front and side, 1 back exhaust, Corsair 5000D Airflow case, all RX120 fans
At first, the 36-40°C idle liquid temperature was really bugging me, especially since my CPU temps were sitting comfortably around 27-30°C though causing my fans RPM to ramp up. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I tried reapplying thermal paste (Using Arctic MX4 atm) , reseating the AIO, tweaking fan curves (Though right now I'm using the quiet preset) and even optimizing my airflow in the Corsair 5000D case. Despite all this, the high liquid temp persisted
Then, I decided to experiment with the RGB settings, and here’s where it got weird, when I turned all RGB off, my liquid temps dropped to 32-34°C idle. But when I turned the outer ring RGB on the pump cap back on, the liquid temps slowly shot back up to 36-40°C, even though all other RGB lighting didn’t have this effect.
Out of curiosity, I removed the LCD pump cap and touched the outer ring RGB. And it was quite warm. I'm not sure that the heat from the outer ring RGB (Or it's just the heat from the CPU lol) was transferring directly to the pump housing, which likely houses the temperature sensor. This additional heat maybe causing the sensor to report higher liquid temperatures, even though the pump and cooling performance were otherwise fine?
Steps I Took
- Tested RGB Effects:
All RGB on (except the outer ring): No impact on liquid temps.
Outer ring RGB on: Liquid temps slowly climbed back to 36-40°C.
But yeah, I'm not sure if this is a design flaw or I got a defective unit but at the moment I'm keeping my outer ring RGB on the pump off. Turning it off made a huge difference for me, and now my liquid temps are stable at ~30°C idle, with no more unnecessary fan ramp-ups :)
Additional notes: For some reason turning the fans to the extreme preset doesn't change much the liquid temp and the extreme preset on the pump slightly increase the liquid temp instead of lowering it at idle, but I assume it's because the coolant moves faster, and thus spends less time in the radiator getting cooled?

I see a lot of (deserved) complaints about all the other top meta units but why does everyone seem to just accept, or just plain be alright with, Mort being as overloaded as he is?
- Can't bring counter units against him: Fair, it's okay and good for him to have a niche. The unit should be balanced around this though as it is a very strong niche to nullify a 4-set equip effect as well many units who focus their entire gameplay on countering. Also, saves us from counter casino, like the demon that counter ML Ilynav could be if he didn't exist.
- He still gets to counter: Okay, not too bad.
- He has a built-in MLB Elbris: Quite strong and allows him to stay viable beyond a counter counter-pick only unit.
- He is quite tanky: Fair, counter units need some bulk to get their counter in.
- Decrease Defense debuff on S1: Defense debuff is very strong and really helps him contribute a great amount of damage to his team. It could be argued a weaker debuff should be on his S1, but fine. Nobody is saying he needs to be bad.
- Does a lot of damage despite being Tanky: E7 has been releasing tanky damage units for a while, so that's fine.
- AOE Enemy RNG CC: Very annoying but his S3 should not be useless and there is RNG chance to cleanse the fear, so it's not too much in his kit.
- S3 Defense Penetration for Highest Health Target: Who asked for this? Why? If you removed, this nobody would stop using him.
- Barrier and speed boost on counter: Why does he need this? Did they just not want to scrap his S2 animation after the rework? If you removed this, nobody would stop using him.
- Ignores ER on S1/S3 for enemies with lower HP: ???????????????????????? IGNORES ER WITH NO SOUL BURN? ISN'T THAT AWESOME AND FAIR!?
- COINFLIP HOLY SACRIFICE / ELBRIS ABUSER: You wanted to focus him before he gets his AOE fear off? Nice try... since he has so much in his kit he can afford to have an artifact that does nothing until you kill him. Better bring extinction to counter a SINGLE ARTIFACT. But wait, you brought an extinction unit expecting him to have holy sacrifice... haha get skill diffed because this other Mort has Elbris and he is whacking your team with defense downs across the board when you dare try to attack anyone on his team.
- The icing on the cake, YSENYA: HIS POCKET SUPPORT EGIRL WHO IS ALWAYS WITH HIM AND GIVES HIM EVEN MORE HP AND THINGS TO DO WITH BONUS DAMAGE FROM HP.
Looking at other units with gameplay mechanic counteignore passives (other than Harsetti but it's already popular sentiment that she's terribly designed), I notice that they must dedicate a SIGNIFICANT amount of their power budget to it. This is especially true for older units.
- RGB Celine/Politis, who are nearly useless against units that don't feed into their niche of countering non-attack skills
- ML Cermia, who was designed to deal with countefollow-up units, is useless against teams that do not have counters/follow-ups. Mort, whose S2 counter null mechanic is more of an after-thought given the rest of his kit, performs much better against these units than ML Cermia. Oh and just in case you wanted to bring the unit designed to counter units that counter, he counters her by countering and giving her defense-down to counter her defense-focused counter counter damage (counter). (She also just dies before doing anything these days anyways).
Mort is not a "Counter-pick when they pick counter-focused units" guy. He's a "incredibly well-rounded, arguably overloaded dragon disaster that goes well against virtually every team composition, who just happens to not allow other heroes to counter" guy. He performs extremely well even against a team full of heroes that do not counter attack.
SPP performs well against teams that do not bring resource generation, but she is a bit more balanced in that she does not completely nullify resources, just halves them. And her counterplay is clear and generalizable - bring Celine, or get rid of her stealth with an AOE attack (LIKE MORT LOL!), then focus her, she's not that tanky.
Disclaimer: I'm just a champion 5 arena / "get the skin and get out RTA" noob so no need to take this too seriously, maybe perfect endgame emperorers are fine with Mort but not all of us are pros.
Am I just a skill issue shitter (please don't answer that I already know it to be true)? Is Mort actually fair and balanced given the state of the rest of the meta? Please let me know your thoughts! Also someone please tell me your Mort counters because he has boomed my mental.

2025.01.22 20:07 Butter2071 Teaching puppy to cross paws, having trouble teaching separate paw targets.
We've been working on this for soo long though, and I can't see any progress.
TL;DR My puppy was trained by free shaping to put his paw on a target, but has trouble differentiating which one.
My current goal with this is to teach my 8 month old sheltie to put his left paw on a target on the cue "left" and his right on the cue "right".
I've been free shaping this behavior. So he puts his paw on the target - click - treat. Later I've tried to have two separate lids from plastic boxes (one white, one black) as targets for each paw. I thought it might help him differentiate to what paw he's supposed to target.
I've been teaching this separately, not mixing in the two targets at once. He still doesn't seem to recognize the difference though. I've gotten to the point where I've reliably taught him a "left", I've been at the level of making clear the verbal cue. Meaning I said "left" before he put his paw there, and after he knew that, I moved on to not marking if I didn't specifically ask for a left.
This is where is breaks though. He mixes the cues up, and seems to be rather guessing.
If I for ex. work on a left one day, when I then want to work on right the other, he will put the wrong paw on the target.
I'm not sure how to go about this. Focus on one paw for now and competent stop training the other before I have one reliable? Thanks for reading.

I am thinking of switching to a 10 Pro, the 512GB Moonlight version. I play games like MLBB, Wuthering Waves, and Genshin Impact. How big of an upgrade is it?
