2025.01.22 19:01 Particular_Event9010 Any way to verify stock firmware on pixel devices?
I've recently bought a pixel 7 pro with a broken display from eBay to repair and use, everything seems to work perfectly after the repair, but an app called zarchiver has SU privileges, and can access the /storage/self folder, no other file organizer I've used has this access.
I'm now mildly paranoid that the previous user has custom firmware installed that I'm unaware of.
Some details that might be helpful:
When I first got the device the screen was barely usable and I couldn't unlock it after setting the pin, so I proceeded to factory reset through the fastboot menu.
The display is an OEM screen from ifixit
After the repair, I calibrated the fingerprint through the chrome tool with no issues
Google pay, play services work, my banking app work fine.
Checking through developer options the bootloader IS locked.
CpuZ states that the device is unrooted.
I've ran a malwarebytes scan and nothing was found.
Is there a way to check firmware of a device without a factory reset or reinstalling? I've been using it for a while and would rather not have to set everything up again.

They keep saying that they will be reopening for day shift at 3:00 pm today and will have night shift working which is my shift but I see that the community is saying that the roads will freeze overnight so I’m not really understanding why we have to go to work. Was just recently watching a movie and it included a scene where the characters were playing poker and it just wasn’t a correct game of Texas hold em it was just wrong. There was a whole movie dedicated to chess and how a young woman climbed the global ranking defying gender standards and all the chess scenes were done wrong they just made no sense. How do movies consistently get games wrong, have the producers and actors never played chess or poker? It seems super simple too it genuinely pisses me off how could you possibly make a movie all about chess and do every chess scene wrong?

So I have my V2.4 with a leviathan (rpi 3b+) and nitehawk t.h. board I'm having a few issues I'm not sure where to ask this 😅 but hopefully anyone can help or point me in the right direction that'd be great. Issue #1 - BTT Hdmi5 screen touch non-responsive tried the rpi stuff to change for it. Issue#2 - Y endstop isn't registering when actuated... not sure if it's software related but my toolhead has an x/y hook up only using X means separate the gpio12/13 to just gpio13 which works perfectly but Y is hooked up to the leviathan and not sure what's going on I have it pind out like this wire, None, wire then its pc3 but still nothing shows when actuated only that its open

2025.01.22 19:01 toaster404 Effective isolation under speakers? Acoustic tiles for wall behind speakers?
My speakers have to be too close to the back wall and on a long vibrating dresser. This isn't close to the sound when they're out in proper position, which isn't functionally feasible given the room.
Recommendation on isolation from dresser? There are feet and pads etc. Or is carpet underlayment as good?
Acoustic self-stick panels from Amazon for the wall? I have a corner reflector situation. Grey acoustic panels would look super, but no point if they don't work.
Thanks much for any suggestions, especially as to specific relatively budget products.
I could just stuff the whole area with squishmallows. They seem to have multiplied (not my doing).
