To put it simply, they tried to ban TikTok, Trump gave it an extension, but they most likely tried to ban TikTok either as support for Trump or censorship. Due to the fact that Cyberpunk shows the dystopia of corporations and government tyranny, it is WAY too similar to (at least) the US' overall situation. This is why I believe if they discover Cyberpunk (game or RPG), they'll most likely ban it because it tells the exact same story we're going through now.

I'm a 5th year PhD student who is set to graduate this May if all goes smoothly. I'll admit that I'm getting kind of impatient when it comes to the defense scheduling itself. The reason is because I was told that the job search for a PhD begins a whole year before someone graduates essentially. I've had other hiccups in the past few months as well as treatments (e.g., Ketamine all throughout October and a booster in November). Throughout the past two years, I've applied to a lot of jobs with varying degrees of success. The intent is to have something lined up by the time I graduate. I even went as far as to get vocational rehabilitation from the state where I did my PhD last year (since I'm technically a resident of that state) before I had to close my case and open a new one with vocational rehabilitation in my home state where I now reside. The search ultimately paid off as I got a competitive internship with a 10% acceptance rate at a research hospital close to where I live now. However, I wasn't so lucky with other searches despite making it to the interview stage usually and the fact that I have no funding right now (so I can work an outside job). I also got a lecturer job offer that would've been for this year had I not declined it this past June so I could live with my parents as I recover from my severe mental health issues and wrap up my PhD.
One thing's consistently confused me though. If the job search does begin before someone graduates with their PhD, why is my advisor in no rush to set up the defense? He even explicitly said that "there's no rush to defend unless you have a job offer." The way I'm reading into this is that it means job searching is a priority because this means scheduling my defense sooner to get things overwith. At the time of positing, my advisor is reading the latest draft of my dissertation that has all sections totally complete and took into account feedback from a committee member. I got a vague "it's getting closer" from him after last week's meeting. So, hopefully this latest set of revisions is either the secone-to-last or last one.
When I was with an autistic DSW as my main therapist until he retired this past July, he was against me looking at jobs. However, I didn't listen to him given the advice I've received about searching a whole year in advance. It could be possible I'm interpreting the advice I've gotten and what my advisor has told me incorrectly, but to me everything right now means putting the pedal to the metal as far as job searching goes.
Am I reacting appropriately? Most importantly, am I interpreting what my advisor is saying incorrectly?

So I'm trying to set up an ad campaign and my colleague, who is much more experienced than me, is not using audiences. He's just creating specific audiences for each ad himself and I can't understand why he's doing that, most of the courses or lectures I've seen about this always say that it's crucial to have an audience and always build more custom/lookalike audiences and always test them to find the best performing for our niche, but he says that in 2025 most of the meta algorithm is working in a way that it shows the audience that is required perfectly and that we don't need to actually create audiences or do custom audiences or lookalike audiences because Facebook does everything in its own and much better than a human could, so I'm wondering what is a better solution to actually try out the old method with using audiences making lookalikes and spending much more time in testing or just make an ad campaign giving it to the AI saying you do your thing and wait for the results from that?

Hi everyone,
I’m new to this group, and I’m also relatively new to running in general(as a hobby and not for score). So I recently got a gait analysis, not sure if that is how it’s spelled, but I would love you guys to school me on this in hobby I picked up.
So long story short, I was active duty marine, 25 now and I used to just run a lot back when I was enlisted, after I got out I realized I can’t just jump into running how I used to when I was 19-23. Now I have to take into consideration my current weights my shoes, socks, back then I would just run through the pain
My issue is and always have been blisters, I picked up the ost1st thin socks after my analysis, and I would love to stock up on more but my local running store has ran out and I would have to wait a few weeks. I over pronate on my running form (not sure if I have said that correctly) and was suggested the gaviota 5, so far I’ve been liking it, feet hurt a bit on the arches but so far not unbearable.
I usually run about 25-30 miles on a weekly basis, and would like suggestions on socks that can help prevent blisters and any other shoe like the gaviota so that way I can test them out in the future. So far the gaviota are doing me justice however when I was enlisted I’ve always had hokas due to them being popular, but had to buy a few pairs because they kept ripping (not sure if it’s a mixture of trail running, long distance running, or something else). Any insight, suggestions and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

 | I bought this awhile ago before it was on game pass and figured I'd get it done. I thought it looked like a good game when I did, but I have mixed feelings about it lol. Pros: It's a good premise story wise and they execute that well. It's got "some" fun arcade games to play. The banter in the game is funny. Cons: The game was super glitchy when I bought it (could not get the first achievements that are from the story). It appears they've made some updates, but it's been like 2 years, and there's still bugs. You have to grind real hard for the achievements. Real hard. After a certain point, you're just playing games inside games. There's no point in the original game. Conclusion: If you don't care about 100%, and just want some achievements with some quirky game, then go for it. Otherwise, I would not recommend.
