2025.01.22 22:21 tinytimoththegreat What is a piece of mass effect lore that you refuse to see as canon because it doesnt make sense and/or fit with the rest of the universe?
For me its the fact that in mass effect initiation the author (for some reason) suggests that asaris who strip are actually doing a military combat dance. Ive always found that this takes away from the overall gritty realism in mass effect. It was like the author was trying to impose some sort of honor in what is overall perceived as a "I need this job to survive" kind of career. Its also WAY too similar to echani melee dancing from kotor 1 and 2.
There are others usually surrounding andromedas lore but whats yours?

My sister and her family come to visit me once or twice per year for 10 years in a row now and it was always a tradition for me to sleep with my niece because she loves me a lot and I love her like my own kid. She is this super excited and vibrant kid who brings joy in my life whenever my sister visits. Like always she wanted to sleep with me so we went to bed and I fell asleep early and she was still scrolling TikTok.
I fell asleep on my back and after awhile I woke up to the sounds of faint moans, heavy breathing and movement around me, I felt my niece leg over my thighs and she was moving up and down up and down in what I could only assume that she was rubbing herself against me, still halfasleep I didnt know what to do and I just rolled over to the side and got out of bed because I panicked and this felt like I was being assaulted, and being assaulted by my niece. I didnt say anything I just went to the toilet, splashed some water on my face and went down in the living room, I didnt fall asleep at all and just waited until it was time to go to work.
I am still feeling mortified, disgusted, I dont know what to do. I know that I need to address it, but how do I even begin to address it.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

My routine for night time goes as follows; Oil cleanse: Dr.Palmers cleansing oil -or- Burt’s bees cleansing oils Reg cleanser: peach slices snail rescue cleanser Toner: 100% witch hazel in a spritz bottle (I swear only thing that showed noticeably better skin long term) Serum: good molecules overnight exfoliating serum Moisturizer: Peach slices snail rescue moisturizer
2nd question area: new products? I was fortunate enough to be gifted a set from the ordinary (the daily set) and was wondering if/when I should swap some of these products into my routine; •The Squalane Cleanser •Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (with Ceramides) •Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

I lost my previous finch Artemis because of a phone malfunction and I forgot to back her up. I downdloaded the app and got a new bird, but they've got nothing but a scarf I bought today and they have no friends. I'm sad there isn't any Finch account or something that you could back up to or it could back up automatically, because I forgot to send emails to my other accounts and now the previous bird is gone. I had lots of friends with the previous bird, but the ones I miss the most are two people here from Reddit - one's bird was named Pine and the user added me because they wanted to add someone from somehwere where they like to go and the another one's bird was named Budgie (or something like that?) and I was explaining to this person scout scarves, so please, if any of you are reading this by any chance, the code for my new bird is 2ZKVHJAHTV. 2025.01.22 22:21 Tiredofbeingbig79 Life just feels like too much
Simply put, it feels like I don't really have a place in this world. The computer science degree I've been working towards over the past five years hasn't taught me anything other than the fact that I don't like tech. I simply don't think I can do anything I believe is valuable with the "skillset" I've spent the last four years building. I just don't believe I can go anywhere meaningful with it.
Moreover, I feel like I have nothing to contribute to society, and like it doesn't even want me anyways. AI can already do anything I can, and the world already has enough softwared developers to function anyways. It feels like my death would be nothing more than a correction in the labor market. I know that sounds dark, but it really does feel like I just don't have what it takes to not be left behind and discarded.
Now you may be thinking "why don't you try pivoting into doing something else?". The problem with that is that I simply can't think of anything to do. I can't really imagine a future where I'm able to live a healthy, fulfilling life. I'm way too far into my degree to change majors, and I'm too broke and directionless to commit to some other form of professional development. Even if I was able to pivot, I don't even know what I would want to do, or what I feel would even matter.
For the past year (especially during the winter months), I've been struggling and falling into depressive spirals. I know I need professional help, and I'm actively seeking it. I'm mainly making this post to ask if any of yall can offer any insights.
