hello! this is a few tips/advice for those starting college and how to set yourself up for success (staying organized etc)

apply for scholarships and do fafsa even if you don’t think you’ll get anything. college is so expensive, do everything you can do save money. your high school and college should have scholarships for you to apply to. odds are you will get some money if you apply!!! (fafsa can also give you better loan options, so it’s worth applying) but yes the saying is true you need to be really rich or really poor to go to college and not worry as much about the cost
if you are getting an apartment or a dorm, buy things you need months in advance and look for deals. it’s a lot more expensive than you think and the cost can add up very quickly in July and August so budget accordingly
I highly recommend a personal laptop, I use mine every single day for every single class. If you can’t afford one, your college might be able to provide loaner ones or you can use computer labs
don’t forget about the cost of textbooks ($100-$400 each semester depending on your classes) so keep that in mind when budgeting. you can always sell them at the end of the semester
dorm essentials: rolling cart, mattress topper, and alternative lighting are must haves. usually good idea to keep snacks or a quick meal for rainy days
BRING WEATHER GEAR. When it’s snowing or raining you want to have a coat, umbrella, waterproof shoes. no one is judging for carrying an umbrella. BRING WEATHER GEAR (especially if you have harsh winters) if you can’t afford weather gear, usually donations are taken on campus so look for those resources if you are in need
find a balance between social and academic life, don’t risk academic probation or retaking a class for a few fun nights out. If you go out be SAFE. Stay with at least 1 friend, NEVER EVER leave your friends alone especially if they are under the influence and always watch your drinks. if you aren’t used to going out or from a small town, Halloween, spring break etc are more likely to be violent. I broke up a fight my first time going out for Halloween and saw another fight happen later that night. Be aware of your surroundings.

STAYING ORGANIZED It’s hard to keep track, here’s what works for me - make a weekly to do list of every assignment that is due that week, check it off as you go. make sure to include any readings etc so you can stay on track. weekly list make it less overwhelming - on a calendar or planer write down important dates (exams, papers, projects etc) and check it every week so you are aware of when important things are. don’t let those exams sneak up on you!! - quizlet is your best friend - if you have an iPad download notability (it’s free but you can purchase more tools for $15/ year) and it’s amazing. I use it to take notes, make my to do list, and my calendar. You can also download assignments and slideshows and fill them in. Great tool but there are lots of good apps like that, this is just the one I personally like! - reach out to profs, TAs, LAs, tutoring etc if you are struggling. it can be very overwhelming and it’s easy to feel like you’re to dumb to be there, trust me everyone is confused and struggling. ASK FOR HELP!!! you are paying to be there, use all of your resources!!!!

Is there a way to restore DSM 7.2 by restoring to a corresponding backup from that time? I tried restoring a backup done in 7.2 earlier today. I got all my files and system configs back, but DSM is still holding at 7.2

I honestly believe the foundation for us losing this game was set in the 10’ with Dias’ early yellow. That combined with the fact that PSG were fast on the counters led Pep to believe that a second caution was on the cards.
But fuck me, the decision to bring in Rico and not Stones was disastrous. We were essentially playing with Rico and Nunes as our fullbacks both of whom have been horrible in defense. The Nunes RB experiment has failed. I hope Stones or even Khusanov(great pace) can slot in there for the longer run.
Finally, Kovacic made mistakes tonight but he is miles better than Gundo this season who is too slow to get to second balls.

I am guessing I would need to build a dimensional time table that has hour and minute, since all start and stop times are rounded to the nearest minute. How would I get the axis (and the data) to be continuous instead of categorical? What visual would I use?
My fact table looks like this:
